Yo-yo’s last day at the farm

Our Saturday here at the farm. Always busy on a Saturday but it’s at a nice busy pace.
Today Yo-yo leaves for his new home with his sister Nike. YoYo enjoys the morning with his mates, good pal Freddo and then enjoys a warm bath before putting on his ‘leaving the farm’ bow tie from our dear friend Hera the Vizsla.
The dogs are helping setting up for a party leter today. It’s Elle and Evie’s Nanny’s birthday and we’re throwing her a country fair style party.
Luke talks about how Lucy went last night, her first night with her new family at Adam’s house. She went well, the pups did well too. They’re 9 weeks old now and fully weaned, so we’re starting the transition to separate.
Freddo is being integrated into farm life. House, family, sleepover pack, day care pack. The whole lot. He’s over the moon about it.
After breakfast, Nike arrives to take home her brother. They’re very happy to see each other.
There’s a little video at the end of YoYo at his new home.
You don’t see much of Yo-yos new owners. They’d like to keep the spotlight on YoYo and Nike, we completely respect that and love seeing these two together anyway. Please if we can ask that you also respect this too.
Well, it’s not good bye YoYo, it’s just see you on Wednesday.
We’ve had a little cry, but it’s happy tears, not sad. We know YoYo is going to be the happiest boy with such a loving family.
Only 4 sleeps YoYo, says Uncle Luke. Uncle Luke is going to be waiting at the gate for that bus to arrive on Wednesday looking for the boy with one ear up and one ear down. The happy goofy guy running towards him excitedly. Because he can’t wait to give you a big hug and hear all about you wonderful new life.

Hope the country fair was fun for Elle and Evie’s Nanny…she chose a way to celebrate her birthday by getting her family gathered! What an amazing transforming journey YoYo experienced. From timid scared shelter dog hiding in the back corner of his kennel in the shelter to fun loving happy go lucky playful YoYo with his awesome caring protective personality. YoYo is such a special dog. He basically made all this happen by making Sam not being able to take him back. Maybe Adam wouldn't have Lucy now if it wasn't for YoYo? He might have changed so many lives by just being the sweet perfect dog he is.

It is quite remarkable and touching to see how far Yo-yo has come . Yesterday I watched the reminiscing vid of yo yo on his first farm trip and Sam breaking into tears - saying he can’t be sent back to the shelter . And what was the most striking in that video was Luke giving Yo- yo his first bath and how terrified he was of the water hose - it was as if it was a flame thrower and not a shower - remember ? Then look at this vid today - what is it 10 weeks later ?? And he is enjoying the shower - no sign of that terrified shut down dog that was there before . Luke and Sam have given those rescue dogs a real chance at a new life . With out the program of training and love they received at the farm they would never have been prepared for a normal life . If someone had adopted them directly from the shelter - they likely would either have returned them or the dogs would have spent their life locked in a crate or the back yard because they would not have been safe to walk them on the street or left alone in the home . NOW they are model canine citizens . Special place in doggie heaven for the DDFT

It is clear to me that Lucy loves Adam. Thank you Adam for adopting her. How exciting for Freddo to be fully integrated into the farm and family. He is such a good boy. And a very happy one too. YoYo is such a joy. I am so happy that he is now with Nike and a wonderful family in his forever home. Thank you to his family for letting us see him getting picked up for his trip home and seeing him so comfortable at home. I await the Wednesday bus arrival to see YoYo come down the ramp and greet us with his happy face.

Fredo did pretty darn well meeting another intact male! Good boy, Fredo. So happy that sweet Yoyo has a loving home with his sister, Nike. The video a few days ago of the two of them playing was so joyful. It made my eyes leak, thinking about how sad and scared Yoyo was in the beginning, to now being freed from all that stressful emotion thanks to all of you at the farm. Yoyo is truly a saved soul because of you. Huge hugs to Adam for adopting sweet Lucy. She will love him forever, and she is free from use as a breeder. Happy Birthday, Nanny!

Yo yo has changed so much and thanks to Doggy Daycare Farm can now have a happy life with a Family.Freddo is looking good with young Gus,and Lucy looks to be attached to Adam.It is all looking good.Thank you to you all for training these beautiful dogs,and making sure they can have a happy life.

Ahh Yo-yo such a lovely boy & he looks to have been adopted by a lovely family 💕. How he loved those soothing hands of Luke that work wonders for those lucky dogs that receive his care.
