The city centre of Swakopmund is only a small part of the town. It goes for quite a few kilometres to the North when you leave the centre of town.

But there were a handful of French people on those first ships. You also goy spaterrings of other European countries here and there. My family has some Irish and my husband some Indian ancestors that came with the first wave. I think the overwhelming architecture leans it more toward the German and Dutch
