For me, that scene is a distillation of everything that makes this move perfect. The music, the cinematography, and the editing come together so perfectly that a scene in which 3 men State each other down for over 7 minutes is transformed into arguably the greatest finale in the history of film.

This is actually a medley. The first part is a shortened version of "The Trio". The original is over 7 minutes long, but it makes sense to cut out the slower parts for a performance like this. From 2:11 they are playing "Per Un Pugno Di Dollari" from right before the final duel in A Fistful of Dollars. At the very end they play a short part of the musical pocketwatch from For A Few Dollars More.

Its been said before, but the three trumpets in harmony. . . chills man, just straigh up shivering. Its probably the best scene in the movie, and an absolute masterclass in how to build and build and BUILD tension until it snaps

This was absolutely brilliant,... fantastic,.. even pistol pete coming down the steps at 1:16 all he was missing was a Sombrero. 3 very different but talented Trumpet players. Well done to the Flautist, Maracas & Guitar. Hopefully there will be an audience next time.

Once, a lot of years ago, I attend a military tattoo given here in Portugal in my Unit, a Light Armoured Infantry Battalion, by a Scotish Unit Band, I don't remember the Unit, was almost 40 years ago and was great.
