We purchased the smaller Meat oil pump sealer and use it daily. We have ours on a cart in the pantry and works great. Had for 1.5 years with zero issues. Love the cart to roll out for large jobs. Great video David!!!

I chose the JVR Vac100 for multiple reasons. I really like how it's designed to be user repairable, and they sell every part in it (whereas with every non-JVR unit, you're probably stuck sending a 50+ pound machine back to them to fix it). After watching the video, not showcasing this seems to be the one big omission. I like the design where it's lower profile for a countertop, so I don't have to move it much. I like that it has an accessory port and comes with a hose that lets you seal external cannisters, wine bottles, etc. I like the 12" wide seal bar, as this lets me seal two 6" wide bags side by side if I'm sealing narrower cuts like chicken breasts or certain pork chops etc. I like that it has programmable presets, so I don't have to keep putting in different settings when sealing different things. Their Black Friday bundle deal is also a fantastic value. JVR also has fantastic bag variety, and their VacGuard is a lifesaver when sealing stuff with protruding bones etc. I like that if you call them, you actually get support. I actually spoke to the Vice President of the company once and asked a bunch of pre-sale questions I took the time to come up with (I didn't ask for him by name).

@@foodonfire3662 To be fair most of the points ended up being covered in it. He showed the top of the chassis tilted up (can't remember if that was on the Vac100 or Vac110, but it applies to both) when talking about filling it with oil, and you could see all the parts. It just wasn't made clear that only JVR machines let you get access to the internals like that. They didn't talk about JVR's Black Friday bundle (which is basically the same price as using one of the many $100 discount codes, except you get about $100-200 of free stuff with it too). They didn't talk about that customer service. They didn't talk about the presets (there are 10 presets, but one of them is dedicated to a cycle meant to make the pump work better when you haven't used it for a while). I think they hit everything else.

VEVOR? for the price and ability to adjust times...would love to see the comparison. I've had one for 2 years using every day and love it.

We just bought a JVR VAC100 on the Black Friday sale. Got the discounted sale price and extra accessories in the bundle. Our 15+ year old Foodsaver is getting too cranky, needs to pause between every seal to cool, and it needed replacing. I do intend on using up my remaining embossed bags (I had been buying the pre-formed bags, not the roll type). Looking forward to the oil based pump and other improvements over the old Foodsaver.

I think you might need some help measuring depth lol. Nevertheless, thanks for another great video.

I really want one of these but the price is definitely the determining factor. I do A LOT of sealing and sous vide cooking for many people at once. It takes so long to prep with my little food saver, but it works

Wow, great video thanks. I have the Meat! 1 hp grinder and love their stuff but I’d go with the vac 110. I also like the idea of having it on a cart.

Great reviews. Another thing to look at is the size of your pump for your chamber sealer. This affects the amount of time it takes to seal a bag. For example, my sealer takes less than 20 seconds to pull 100% vacuum. On the other hand, my brother has a sealer that takes almost a minute to pull a full vacuum. Also, you can buy or make filler plates to sit inside any of these sealers which would help the bags from slipping down. The filler plates also help with filling up empty space inside the machine which will affect seal time. Finally, lets see if these machines actually can seal multiple bags. Can you overlap them? I do it quite often, which allows me to seal 4 bags at a time.

It is not as much price for me but space it takes up in my home. If I want to buy something I need to figure out where it will be stored before purchase.

Just bought the JVR VAC100. For your question about preference for chamber versus external. I'm a little worried about spending so much money and not having room to vacuum everything that I may need to. I saw another creator vacuum a bag externally using the VAC100, but I don't see that spoken of much, so I don’t know how reliable that is.
@praetorxyn11 күн бұрын
External sealing will work, but you have to use the channeled bags that the regular channel sealer units require (JVR's brand of this is called VacFlex) and it's a little finnicky, but you can find videos on how it's done. The only thing I really seal of that length is racks of ribs (which often come bundled in 2 or 3 racks to one pack, so I seal the ones I'm not smoking), and I think it's fine to just keep a channel sealer in a cabinet or something for that purpose.

God I hate vacuum sealing things with my external sealer that have any moisture in them at all. Killed one already where too much liquid made it into the pump (wasn't even that wet) and my current with (anova pro external sealer) has a moist mode but even with the leftovers of my fairly juicy Turkey (but still just Turkey) if I try to use smaller bags without enough headway I have to really watch it like a hawk and manually end the vacuuming and trigger the sealing myself, a second or so too late and a bit of juice gets inside the little basin and after killing one machine makes me nervous. So just pulled the trigger on the Black Friday bundle for the JVR Vac 100. Really looking forward to doing sealed marinades too, hoping that can step up the flavor a bit from standard ones.

Were you using a custom setting or the auto setting? I have the meat vacuum sealer and I seem to always have air pockets in my bags (using meat bags and vacmaster bags).

Could you please clarify on the discount code? Is it supposed to work on the meat? I didn’t have any luck when trying to use it. I’m going to call them and ask about the beep. Gotta be fairly easy to clip a wire somewhere?

Why would you not include the time it takes to seal these bags? You edit it out and make no mention. And so much time spent measuring the dimensions. Disappointed.

I know on the Meat products you can adjust the vacuum and seal time. So it’s personal preference and dependent on the size of bag.

Are you using the auto settings or do you use the custom setting? I’ve had nothing but problems with my oil-less sealer.
