This was brilliant, it reminded me of The Fake Mandarin from Iron-Man 3. I love how you guys tapped into the story of Ras becoming more corrupted and deformed each time he uses The Lazarus Pit. Much like in Arkham City when he tells Batman that he’s afraid of what will come out of Pit. It’s ironic that he wants to live forever but is so afraid of Death, that’s why Batman almost always defeats him because he isn’t afraid of facing down his final opponent, he isn’t afraid of making the sacrifice play. he stared down the abyss once before, all those years ago, and when it looked back at him, he didn’t blink Also I have a theory, all the static and glitches we see in the video, is The Riddler trying to escape into our world. He’s transformed beyond flesh and blood and become something different entirely, like he’s gained a form of Cosmic Awareness. Idk it’s just a theory.

The fake Mandarin was definitely some inspiration for his appearance! Primarily drew inspiration from the Doom That Came to Gotham, Batman Begins, satanic panic of the 80s-90s, and the Birth of the Demon comic run 😉🦇 I really like that Riddler theory!! Especially since it’s hinted at near the end of the Riddler episode (his consciousness drifting through the decades with the release of new technology)

I love the idea of tying the society of shadows in to the satanic panic of the early 90s, pure brilliance. Can't say I was expecting the title of demon's head to be literal here, but it's an interesting take on Ra's. I also couldn't help but notice that all of the villains this season are somehow trapped in their own bodies, looking forward to seeing where that motif goes. As an aside, will this season/volume be longer than the first?

Fantastic work as always! This might be my favorite series of yours! Although he’s not specifically a Batman villain, I can’t help but wonder what a Darkseid Arkham Tape would be like. Probably news reports on an unknown object being detected in space, like the start of an alien invasion movie. Or a tape from a conspiracy theorist ranting about how the invasion is coming and they plan to kill us all!

👀👀 this was so dope! The voice actor did such an excellent job of portraying his Ra's instead of trying to imitate David Warner. I absolutely love this story line. The first season was very much a creature feature that was tragic consequences due to hubris. This shows a...malevolence behind each story. I think that's cool af. Especially considering that Ra's flat out admitted to fighting various deities and or entities so what happened earlier to Bruce was prepping him for the possession. 🤯 Or I could be talking out my hinder. Either way I have enjoyed it. And I'm off to rewatch and use confirmation bias to prove I'm right 😅 Again this was excellent!

I'm starting to develop theories about the characters and the theme for season two. It feels like the theme is about the power of each entity. I wonder if Scarface is next?
