I remember the same thing happening with Briar. People thought she was weak when she came out (she was a fricking beast) cause her winrate was low. Then they buffed her and she became one of the most op champs in the game. Ambessa is not an easy champ, buffing her now would be a pretty bad idea.

Ambessa is a high mechanical skill champion, but she is so overtuned that it doesn't require a lot of skill to do well with her. At least at low elo, in Baus' elo you can't just pick Ambessa and do well just bc she's OP. It still requires the player to be mechanically good.
