I am both Greek and Armenian by blood . My Great Grandparents were both killed in Mersina[Mersin] Kilikia [Cilicia] back in the 1920's . My Grandfather Nicoghos Papazian gathered the rest of the family together and escaped to Alexandria ,Egypt . There he changed our patronymic from the Armenian Papazian to the Greek equivalent Papadopoulos both have the same meaning =Descendants ,sons and daughters of Priests ... this song is the story of Cilicia / Kilikia the land of my Paternal Ancestors .On our Maternal lines we are Greek from Cyprus ,Symi ,Kastellorizon and Kasos ... They want to see it again the mountains 🏔, the churches, their homes and nature. They ask the world (universe) to return their Sun ☀️ (Cilicia).
