I can't explain with words how Wes' movies make me feel. Nostalgic about a past I didn't know? Happy about this time? Sad? I can't explain. Just that when I see one of his movies, I feel something that nothing else makes me feel, except for the books that I read in my childhood. Thanks for this video.

We don't talk that much about the perfect editing of the video. Definitely a great tribute to a great filmmaker !

Wes Anderson has always had the ability, since Bottle Rocket, to show the public the irony, the innocence and the different adventures that the characters of the plot have to face, often with difficulty, all with a photograph and a visual scenography of colors that kidnaps! Waiting for a long time this video seems to me of intangible beauty, great editing job as always!

The cannonball sequence in rushmore is incredible, its a great example of how a wordless scene can carry so much meaning and emotion by utilizing relatively simple framing, fitting music, and great acting to top it all off.

Wes Anderson is similar to Stanley Kubrick. Both of them have rely on symmetrical camera angles but the difference is that Wes Anderson is the light while Kubrick is dark.

I think wes like to show the audience that they are clearly watching a movie (the camera has simmetry but you can see it shaking). Its like if he wants we to know that there are actual people behind everything, like a theater play (notice that in movies like rushmore, french dispatch and zissou the audience are treated like a physical audience)
@jerrysein33413 жыл бұрын
Cant compare Wes to Kubrick whos a generational artist

Sure in photography they might be a bit similar, but they have very different themes and ways to make their movies almost completely differents(both brilliant)

Another director that manages to serve warmth and witty on the same platter is Noah Baumbach, some of his films such as Frances ha and Marriage story are both beautiful and light yet carry such a heaviness that one almost yearns for.
