Poor Gideon; he was devastated and it was depicted so well!. A really great story and the artwork is superb, so glad you posted it! *puts on loaned analyst hat* Ahem... well, in the actual film, he recited to Judy on her return to Bunnyburrow that he'd had issues as a cub and had since undergone therapy, so possibly his violent feelings were replaced by regret and guilt, and they, in turn, were replaced with a strong need to make amends. Over time, he became infatuated which he interpreted as love; can happen when someone is depressed, struggling with guilt and feels isolated. Unfortunately, Gids had no idea of how to get that show on the road (probably never had any decent role models as a cub, bullies often don't), and later built up this fantasy of their happy life together, not knowing or ignoring the rules of courtship; obsession can override normalcy in extreme cases. Also, he and Judy would be a mixed species thing, something very frowned upon (duh), so he probably couldn't tell anyone or get advice anywhere, which would have worsened his situation. *takes off hat and boots it for six into middle distance* Anyway, this is the best video I've seen this month and I hope there are more like this!
