Your interpretation is why I'm going through Bible in the Year here. Just reading the Bible without a guide can lead to misunderstandings and division. It's why there are so many Protestant churches.

Father Mike: when you said at the end of today's recording: "God loves you. You listening right now. He is so proud of you." ... Well, I just really need to hear that today. I have an issue with my left ear and have been praying and going to daily mass and saying the rosary and chaplet and want so much to please Him so that he will heal me. And I just needed that reminder that He loves me. And that maybe I don't have to perform and go through hoops to be healed. I just need to ask and believe. Thank you. ✝️🤲🏻🙏🏻

Thank you.I tried to read the Bible at home in my younger days.I found I could not “get into it”,and threw it out??? Later I learned that the Holy Spirit will open it up for us. A prayer to the Holy Spirit before reading. Listening to the Word being read in church, doing Lectio Divina with an Ignatian prayer group, and now receiving guidance and leadership from The Bible in a Year ,are the route I am travelling. The difference is like night and day. I’m 2 years late, but maybe someone will still see this. Recently I’ve felt pulled away from Catholicism towards Protestantism, non-denomination. I’m really really struggling because I don’t know if God is leading me away or if Satan is taking me from the true church. I don’t know if it is the true church. I don’t know if I believe the same things as Catholics do. I used to. I used to believe everything and had many religious experiences inside Catholicism, I just don’t know what to do. I don’t know who to trust. I’m lost.

You'll be fine. Make a call to the rectory of a local Catholic church in your area and make an appointment to speak with the priest. Pour out your heart to him and God will grant you the guidance you need.

I am a Baptist and after doing this for three years have struggled with the Catholic theology, I try to research the grey areas from both sides. I am still happy on the Protestant side, as it seems to resonate more with my soul. I think because Fr Mike is so sincere it's hard for me to reject what he is saying, however I can't base my faith on liking somebody ! comes down to keep asking God for guidance, hopefully you will find a peace on one side or another. God bless.❤🙏

Today was so good. Esp the food offerings part. When your parents are of different Faiths its so painful for the parent who has relinquished the right for the kids to follow his/ her Faith. Thanks Father for clarifying we don't commit a sin when we eat the offerings to other God's when we do it for love...when we do it not to hurt our dearly loved ones. December 1, 2023 Do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church states : Baptism leaves an indelible, spiritual mark (character) of belonging to Christ on your soul. Nothing you do can remove it , you will always carry that mark on your soul, making re-baptism impossible.
