Nero is a beautiful jag. I loved seeing him with Kiara. It's quite obvious that they love each other 💗. I'm usually all for releasing back to the wild but I would be so afraid of someone or poachers killing these magnificient creatures at least at the sanctuary they are safe......just my opinion You guys do a great job .....

Do cats ever really get stuck in trees. I have been out in the woods for a long long time and have never seen a cat skeleton in a tree!

Yes they do. If they got lions attacks and got too high. They may end up hurting themselves jumping from too high of trees. You could observe domestic cats, they stuck in trees too

What are the threats to jaguars in the wild? There are three major ones that face all wild species: 1) Human encroachment 2) Human encroachment 3) Human encroachment. Really not that difficult to understand. Is there any purpose to continuing human population growth? Are we to continue on this path until we ruin everything and live miserable lives where everything we do must be tightly controlled like it is in China? Why not voluntarily reverse the trend starting right now? If we limit ourselves to 2 children per family, we could significantly reduce the world population in just a few generations. We could improve our quality of life, make room for wildlife and allow the oceans, lakes and rivers to replenish what they have lost through overfishing. Maybe give ourselves some time to figure out how to populate other planets or even moons in our solar system. Mars is the most likely next step, but there are big problems to overcome. Might take us a couple hundred years to make Mars a habitable planet. Other solar systems are way, way out of reach. Right now, at the fastest speed humans have ever travelled (3,000 mph), it would take us approx. 85,000 years to reach the nearest star. Clearly we are in need of a quantum leap in technology before we can even think about travelling to other solar systems. N the meantime, we need to put a stop to this population explosion voluntarily before we are forced to take drastic action.

Do you think the cats are happy or do you honestly think that they feel cooped up? If your aims to protect and grow the species, then where do we put them...obviously mankind is destroying them and their habitat so how do you reconcile this with breeding...

That is the fight conservation will be fighting till the end of time. If cats or other species have the chance to survive and they breed them and for some who can be put back in the wild that is the risk but not to breed at all and just let them go extinct is not an option either . I am sure it is always a work in progress and sadly perfect happiness for their cat would be to go back to when they still live in their own where they are supposed to be so I am sure the definition of happiness has also evolved and there is a certain amount of trust they have with their caretakers that is a semblance of happiness in a smaller home yet compared to others who are in small cages, in zoos, and are is abused definitely far better
