This might be old news, but I have had problems with my RAVEN for the past ten years. First problem occurred when the unit was still under warranty. It would start, but would not move in fwd or rev. I contacted the manufacturer in 2015, a few years before they went bankrupt. They sent me a new pcb board; did not fix prob. Then, they sent me new 'contactors'. These are the units located just behind the right rear wheel, protected by a louvered shield. The contactor replacement solved the problem......for a while. Then, about a year later, the unit would turn over, but would not start. Same trouble shoot as some other commenters: STARTER FLUID in carb and spark plug port. Sputtered, but would not start. Weirdest carburator I have ever seen. Has a solenoid on bottom. Found spares on AMAZON. Very difficult fix to trace and sort wiring in exact configuration and replace carb. I am now on my third carb. They do not last long. The carb. replacements fixed the problem. Then in 2023 the 48 volt battery pack (4 12 volt batteries) died. Replace batts and unit ran like new. But now in 2024, I have a new problem. I tried starter fluid test again. Not even a sputter. Does not seem to be getting spark. Anyone out there with suggestions???

I have one sometimes it goes good but most of the time it won't even move and I don't know why do you have any ideas

Speaking of troubleshooting. My Raven does not go forward or backward when the switch is put in the correct position. The parking brake is off and it is NOT in generator mode. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I know this post is almost a year old, but perhaps you check in here every now and again.

Mine has a parking light on and won't move in forward or reverse. I do hear a click when I turn it on. Any ideas? I have 51v

I got the same mower but won’t start. I can put some starting fluid and starts right away an will stay running and use it but once I turns off to turn it back on I have to spray some starting fluid again. Do you have any clue what it could be

So what was faulty with the Raven, that it would shut off when you released the brake?

Question, my Raven starts fires but the engine immediately shuts off. I've clean the fuel filters and it seems to get fuel but just will not run. It will not run even with the emergency brake is on so I do not think that it is the bypass switch, however I am open to any ideas you can recommend that I check? It still runs on the batteries, which I recently changed with lithium ion batteries.

Could be the oil sensor. Some are set to the slightest degree so check oil add oil to full see if that helps. I have had to add over the full mark to get to stay running. I do not recommend bypassing the sensor unless absolutely no other alternative. Emergency brake can be the issue if it is not making full contact. Check all switches to be on too. I just had a generator that would not run unless the output breaker was on so this may be your issue as well. let me know how you make out

My raven will start and drive but it like stalls or something. It’ll go then stop then go then stop. Any idea what that could be?

It could be the seat safety switch. You can bypass it with a jumper wire.

Like another commenter, I performed this and fixed an issue with the brake sensor (engine would cut off whenever brake was released). Well the engine will run now, but it won't go forward or reverse. Any thoughts on how to fix this new issue? Thank you.

Minw only buzz at the pcb board Tuen thw green light come on and head lights work bit thats all It will not go foeward or reverse and when you turn the key to start the engine nothing All battries are charged I sure do hate the ideal of scraping it

We did these steps and it still not working it's like the park brake is on at all time it won't go into reverse or drive if you let off the brake it dies....someone please help
