I personally tackled the Bug Gym and Dark Type Team Star boss first since I was looking at a guide. I do wish this game could let you know what you can do next instead of having to figure it out for yourself.

So basically you had the opposite problem people had Pokémon sword and shield ironically that game from what I heard was VERY linear but the recent games are much more open ended , swear I feel like The wild area from gen 8 feels like gamefreak were just testing to see what worked and what didn’t in retrospect

@@gwendellaugello7372 they needed level balancing. You can't really say you're free to go anywhere but then find out that gyms and pokemon are still level locked. I personally followed a guide too because i didn't want to be underleveled or overleveled at a gym because it's not fun like that. This game isn't linear but there's definitely the subtle recommended route

Beat the game a day or so ago, thoroughly enjoyed myself, game was definitely not ready for release. Clipped through walls 3 times now, crashed once, obvious performance/fps issues, and too many bugs to count in raids. But again, had a lot of fun and hope wolfy does as well. Just remember boys and girls: save often, cause this game gets weird

Hilariously, I finally watched the first episode of this a day later after I finally started playing my copy of Pokemon Scarlet when it arrived at night the day they came out, but then saw Wolfy ALSO picked Quaxly...and also named him Donald like I did! XD Weird coincidences we have here, so...I renamed my Donald to "Dolan" later after watching the first episode. Then renamed him to "Josuke"....and then finally "Don Flamenco". You'll see why I renamed him that way later.
