It should also be pointed out that with no SL you might enter into a very large drawdown and for a very long time. 2 consequences being that you must have small trade sizes so that you avoid margin call and quickly blowing account, and you must be prepared to accept being 1000 pips down for 2 weeks or 2 months or 2 years or longer, unable to use your money, missing out on all the opportunities, waiting for the market to return to your level, all for the sake of 5 pips. Don't be fooled, no stop loss trading leads to long and large drawdown periods that far exceed 1% of the time, and there is no real guarantee that it will ever come back to your level. I've seen bots doing this, some are still running without blowing account after 2 years, but the 100% win rate hides the extreme and lengthy drawdowns part of the story.

If you investigate the spreads it is possible to trade on pairs and times where the spread is incredibly low - much less than one pip - but you have to be careful. My broker, for example, opens the spread to over 8 pips at around midnight for 20 minutes so I plan to only trade 9am-5pm. Brokers are not to be trusted blindly.

I happened upon a similar strategy which was +10 -40 on breakouts above swing high when above 200 EMA on the hourly. I have been setting these up in micro futures on EUR/USD, AUD/USD and also stock indexes like /NQ, /RTY and some times /ES. I have not been what I call "breakout microscalping" very long, but my percentage win is very high. Small trades yet, but this is no BS. I place all these setups overnight US, and open and close no touch in less than 30 minutes for most of them. Watch and learn, this is not BS.

5 pips TP with a stop loss of 5 pips is actually a risk of 15-25 pips when you include the spread. A 5 pip TP trade has to travel 20-25 pips distance to win but only travel 5 pips to hit the SL and lose 20-25 pips of value.

I have had thousands of hours over lots of years learning from great teachers, and all of them taught me to learn the strategy, backtest the strategy, forward test it, demo it to prove it, journal it, and then live trade it on a small dedicated account. I think the concepts here are worth doing that, and that is something I will definitely do. It might also help (all of us) to go back over the video(s) and hear some of the things we missed because the first time our biases are our first reaction. If you don't trust it that is okay, but you owe it to yourself to test it. Just saying. I hope for everyone's success.

the 5 pip strategy does work on certain types of forex or crypto i actually traded this exact strategy on shiba inu crypto currency and despite only using $200 live trading after learning about trading for 3 days i was making around 5% on my account and only had 1 loss as i miss typed the price and i actually found 8 pips to be the sweet spot at the time as most trends on the 1 minute chart reversed at around 8 pips the most trades i done in a single day was 37 over about 16 hours was good fun learning how to use limit orders too and what can go horribly wrong

Windsor, I was thinking exactly the same thing. I don't think he's ever heard of spillage. Each FX pair has variations in spreads and also payouts per PIP. The worst pairs payout very low amounts per PIP compared to other more volatile popular ones. So 5 PIPS in general will greatly differ in spread costs and payouts for different pairs. So essentially for many pairs you will need much more than 5 PIPS per trade to go past the minimum wage limit to make it worth your time. Not unless you're worth half a million and you scalp trade thousands of dollars for small PIPS.

It should also be pointed out that with no SL you might enter into a very large drawdown and for a very long time. 2 consequences being that you must have small trade sizes so that you avoid margin call and quickly blowing account, and you must be prepared to accept being 1000 pips down for 2 weeks or 2 months or 2 years or longer, unable to use your money, missing out on all the opportunities, waiting for the market to return to your level, all for the sake of 5 pips. Don't be fooled, no stop loss trading leads to long and large drawdown periods that far exceed 1% of the time, and there is no real guarantee that it will ever come back to your level. I've seen bots doing this, some are still running without blowing account after 2 years, but the 100% win rate hides the extreme and lengthy drawdowns part of the story.

Something like this where the idea is to get in and get out fast you are dealing with using the 1 or 5. Being aware of the long term trend is a good idea as you could choose to play a little safer and only trade in favor of the trend. More likely to ride it longer as well. Still. with something so tight. trading against it should not really be an issue.

It is great to hear hours of theory, but I am dying to see people actually carryout the techniques they are describing. I have an algo strategy i programmed thats probably similar. Simple rules, 1ATR target and no stop, it buys at random times outside of normal trading hours and averages down, the only time it sells for a loss is at 3:45pm as to not get hit with overnight margin. It makes about 20 trades/day and over the last 10 months its had only 1 losing trade, and an average of $19/trade and ~$400 day. Sounds great on paper but the problem is you need a massive account to pull it off as the max unrealized drawdown was around -$9000. I tried setting the algo live a week ago and all was going well the first night but i woke up to the my account being down -75% because my broker liquidated my position due to drawdown. Sucks, but what made it even worse is the fact that they liquidated it at the very bottom and the trade wouldve sold for a $80 profit 30 min later, and i wouldve woken up to my $400 account being $850

@@captaincannabis3321 mine was on crypto, I used the one hr and found what the worse drop was with a 4% bounce, it was like 12 % on the coin i was doing. I look for a 4% bounce because I could scale into positions with a bot, lol like 30 buy orders, anyhow it took a 4% bounce worse case scenario to make 2% on whatever position size i had. When it failed though, I had a plan for that but could not execute because the amount of drawdown i would sit through. I'll probably do that strategy again just with a small account and let it ride. I'm alot more financial stable now and could still trade forex with my normal account now.

im a new trader and after doing research and trading on the crypto markets although 5 pip strategy can work for some markets it doesnt work for all of them and alot of the time the only person making profit is the exchange with their fees. take ethereum/usdt on the kucoin exchange the fees add up to 0.2% so you need to make more than the fees to make a profit now the minimum pips required is 6 that means that the price needs to rise by $6 to take a profit and that profit is very small about 0.1% on your account which is fine if your taking trades every minute but you wont be so a better ammount is 8 to 10 pips profit per trade you can make 0.2% on your trade account and do it 30 to 50 times a day on a spot trading account its not easy and you can set stop lose and take profit but as your chasing only 8 pips you can set limit orders to buy and sell although it works its not as good as they are claiming here i used to manually trade like this was making about $2 to $5 on a $1k account but risking all of that money is not easy in every single trade but you can be in and out of a trade in literally minutes some i would barely have a trade open 2 minutes before it was completed both buying and selling. The tiny profits add up over time but the secret to minimise loses is to not get greedy dont expect to alway hit a 10 or 15 pips every few minutes i know i used to spend up to 30 minutes just looking for the next entry point.

I spent about 3 weeks looking into brokers in the uk. Landed on pepperstone since they tie in to tradingview (i use their own ctrader app on my pc as well as tradingview doesnt allow trailing stoploss) and they have a razor account with no spread nor a minimum deposit and demo account easy as fook to setup. Also their customer service is great, not seen a downside yet

Alex Robins true but I personally take 2 trades. I set 1 trade at a 1:1 and the other I use a trailing stop loss. So then it becomes a risk free trade and I could Potentially make 1:2 - 1:3

if and this is a big if... if trading platforms would have it so you could program in 3 or 4 trades at once with your stop loss also being able to be programed as well it would be easier to make money.... ie.. your 5 pipps say with say a 2 pip stop loss.... you place your trade where it needs to be . the market moves to your entery and hits it... boom your in... and all your other trades are set with the different take profits.... you stop loss is set for all the other take profits... the market hits your profit of 5 pips BUT now your stop loss is not 20 pips your stop loss is now moved up to where you first entered the market because that is how you programed it... now your next profit target is 15 pips .. you now have a free trade because you cannot lose money at all because your stop loss is where you enter the market if the market does come back and stop you out you still made 2 ,3 pips to cover your spread.... go look at ninja trader platform and see how it works... all trading platforms should be like that

yeah thats the biggest problem with the 5 pip or whatever the minimum pip for profit might be for whatever your trading i personally have used this strategy for crypto and it works well but it wont grow a small account into a large one without leverage and thats risky
