Great first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole.🦊This is such a good collaboration (it was a real 50-50 split between both bands) and has been getting all the crowds bouncing, dancing and singing along at all the live shows. They played it live together twice at Fox-Fest (organised by BABYMETAL in Tokyo) and another 4 times at festivals in Germany ... and both bands have been playing it in their own concerts. You know Electric Callboy already so I will talk about BABYMETAL. I don't know what you thought BABYMETAL would look like ... I'm guessing you imagined they would be like every other female metal or rock band in short skirts doing all the same things and putting on the same sort of concerts as pretty much every other metal or rock band has been doing for the last 50+ years. That is not what they do. BABYMETAL are unique, they do things differently. They pioneered their own new metal sub-genre fusing metal with J-Pop hooks, melodies and aesthetics ... including introducing choreographed dance into metal, but not dance as you know it. No spread legs, twerking, prancing round in knickers, exposed flesh etc - their choreo is all about interpreting the meaning of the song or a lyric and leading the audience - when the girls jump, pump their fists or whatever so does the crowd. They were formed in 2010 around the vocal talents and stage presence of lead vocalist Su-metal - she was still only 12 when that happened. Yuimetal and Moametal (they were 11) provided backing vocals, harmonies and were in charge of involving and hyping the audience with their choreo. They started with no budget in borrowed clothes and had to prove themselves and find an audience nobody believed would exist. They did both and we have watched them grow up to become one of the very best live acts on the planet. Yui last appeared in October 2017, she left 12 months later because of ongoing health issues. Su and Moa continued as a duo for 4-5 years supported by three dancers (the Avengers) who would take turns dancing in the third spot. On 1st April 2023 the last remaining Avenger was revealed as the new third official member - she is Momometal. They are supported in live shows by world class musicians - the Kami Band. The Kami Band of the East are Japanese musicians and they have been with BABYMETAl since 2012 (full time for all live shows since early 2014) and last appeared in January 2023. In 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) were introduced to support BABYMETAL in their longer foreign tours. They have played every concert since April 2023. BABYMETAL have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. Some songs are hard metal some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. 'Megitsune' is one of their early songs and one of the best to show what they can do - watch the live performance from PIA MM Arena in April 2023 for another reaction.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. (BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues.) I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (and group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) ★ You can find the official LIVE video in KZbin !! The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. Now the 3 girls and 2 boys are doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。

By far my fav moment out of any song I've ever heard (and its not even close) is right after the 2 solo's when the girls pop-out with their girly Ratatata and then one of the EC guys steps in with the super heavy sht :) Every single time my brain goes absolute bananas. Love it. Oh and something else that I really love about this collab is that when the girls do their really professional dance performances and the contrast with guys looking so silly doing their moves :)
