I recently listened to an interview with him about this song. He said he wrote it from the perspective of someone who has passed away, speaking from heaven to the one they love who is still alive and grieving the loss. Ever since hearing that, the lyrics cut even deeper! First time on your channel. Great reaction video!

I wouldn’t want to be rude to Josh Teskey because he and his brothers are very brilliant musicians but his voice is so so close to Otis Redding, does that not mean he is copying Redding? If you check out Teskeys again, can you do Get Back to The Land. It is also a blues song but written by the late Archie Roach, a black man stolen from his family by the government in order to break apart First Nations culture. When Archie sang the blues, they come from his heart.
