Good for you! I wish I had thought of that, I jumped straight from high school to college at 16, and I think taking a year would have been so advantageous, specially in maturity, cause even if I was a pretty mature 16 yo I was still 16, and I still think 18 is not old enough to make such important decision. Thankfully college is not the end of the line and I still have my whole life to change! I traveled alone even before college and it brings so much life experience, so you will surely grow a lot during the gap year! Best of luck! (I'm sorry if I came of as condescending but it's because I wish I was that wise and prepared as you are!)

I plan on taking a gap year as well! But I have nothing planned yet, I just know I'd like to try workaway too. This video was really inspiring, I’m excited to see the rest of the series! I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel, I love your editing ☺️

When do you start a gap year, is it right after you graduate high school or you start in the next year?

I am afraid that if I do take a gap year that I will be frowned upon by friends and family. They just won’t understand how I feel if I tell them.
