There is one BIG little problem with Filmora that it mentions on its “Have Any Questions?” page. There it states: “AI images, stickers, text-to-video, and AI generated sound effects are for NON-COMMERCIAL USE ONLY, due to uncertainties in the commercial status of their training materials.” Also, “Fonts, including title templates, title effects, and cloud fonts cannot be used commercially.”

Wow, I just had a look and sure enough, you can’t use their fonts and title templates. Ironic really. Filmora, an accessible and feature-rich video editing tool….for hobbyists. Man that’s frustrating.

Hey Bob, been watching quite a few of your videos in recent times I’m looking for the easiest, simplest way of taking an audio song I recorded and produced quite a few songs and I want to just upload that to make a video so I can upload it on my KZbin channel. Could you recommend the easiest simplest way of doing that? I’ve looked at Victoria. I’ve looked at couple things and no one seems to have a quick and easy way of just uploading audio and creating a video. Appreciate it. Thanks and have a great day Michael.

Hey Bob, what about masking? What are the masking options, I use cap cut, and it is limited on the masking options. And the voice enhancement option. Also the stem split option to separate the vocals from the music and such. Oh, and was you able to do all of that with just the application itself, or is there subscription addons added to that video? nice vid😊

Must be nice to be a creator and have unlimited credit to use whatever you want in the Filmora store. I mean correct me if I'm wrong but it's easy to do videos like this when you can use whatever you want for free.

But again, if you are a working professional and make money through editing and creating content, and these tools can save you hours and other resources, then the investment should not be an issue. If you make more money than you spend, you’re doing well. But if you’re a hobby’s and not really doing anything to make money with these investments, then any amount may seem like too much.

@@BobDoyleMedia All great points. For me it's not about the money. If it's something I'll use I'll be happy to pay for it. But if it's content I am consuming it's nice to know the creator is being up front and open about this and you simply are not. You continue to make videos without telling your viewers you are being sponsored or given credits to demonstrate the product. It comes of as dishonest and shilly. I love your content but this is really starting to push me away.

@@selfhosted I always mention the sponsorship somewhere. And it is always indicated at the beginning of the video, so I’m not sure where that part of your comment is coming from. I’m really not here to sell any particular person‘s product even if they sponsor the video. I’m here to show the features and how it can help in their creative workflow. Pricing structure changes constantly and it’s happened to me many times that I’ve talked about price and then That information is old in just days. So I just avoid it whenever I can because that’s not, in my opinion, the most important aspect of the tool if, in fact, it’s something you’re going to use in your profession. I really do appreciate you watching, and I’m sorry this annoys you, but all the products I share here, I share in full integrity, and I try and be as forthright as I can. I think most people are aware that influencers get certain perks and access to programs for the purposes of evaluation.

I made a few songs with Suno with no lyrics. My question is: is there a tool to add lyrics and voice to choose from for those songs? Is there a pro tool to add video to the songs? The cover tool on suno seems too gimmicky, lol. I hope they can improve it. Is there another alternative to make better music videos?

Udio. The music quality is spot on. Suno creates better melodies in general, but the sound is terrible. Udio is also all round just better,

This is totally mind-blowing! I knew it was coming, but I didn't realize "Part 1 AI" had arrived. Oh, my, what's next? Can't wait. (Which might be a topic for the show; what you see when you look into the future. How AI will penetrate every aspect of our lives, mostly for the good. Will people still work, and if not, how will they be consumers of the products of the giant corporations? Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll assimilate.)

Poor Bob's getting crucified just for not mentioning the subscription element of the AI due to his enthusiasm - he's not trying to hide anything! For heaven's sake, it's $59 a YEAR for 1000 AI credits PER MONTH plus if you prefer instead you can pay a one time fee for Filmora with a one time 1000 AI credits offering. My word, what do people want these days? Try and find better value in an non-open source product, I think you'll struggle. Anyway, rant over. Let's just be grateful for the content. Loving the content Bob, good man, keep it up mate!

I like your content a lot but Wondershare is a BS company. Louis Rossmann covered this a few years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3y7YX-gfKd1p9E Most (if not all) of the AI assets and images are unusable commercially. As someone else mentoned: title templates, effects etc as well. Also, the lifetime subscription is only for that version you buy (+ updates for one year) Newer versions needs a new license. They never mentioned this. They spam your assets library with pink diamonds that you have to pay $20 to access every month. The free assets are incredibly basic and not worth what you pay for the program. What is worst, you are forced to scroll through stacks of pink diamond assets to find some free included stuff. There is no option to only show the free stuff? Why? They are trying to make the experience frustratating so you feel the need to fork out the $20. That's almost $300 over a year. You can do A LOT better than this. Save that money and rather buy Cycerlink Powerdirector or capcut.

Thanks. I have been evaluating other solutions such as CapCut. While I like the overall functionality Filmora brings to my workflow, I totally hear you about the pricing structure, and am always on the lookout for the best alternatives. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment.

The software is not too bad.. but.. the simple version many effects are not avalable.. you have to pay extra .. also.. every generation of the AI cost credits.. again.. you will need to but more and more if you use this siftware everyday.... not fare! Maybe should give the software free 8 like other professional video editor do) and THEN pay for teh credit. Also many times the AI generated matelia is NOT usable! ;/

You just need to think about this like ANY other investment in your business. Will you use it to create value that will more than make up for what it costs you? I'm quite sure a working professional would easily make their money back and not think so much about credits. But if you're just playing around, then it's easy to get upset about credits and other price-related things. People are really used to getting stuff for free in the AI world - but it can't always be that way, and each person has to weigh the value of any offering for themselves, based on how they'll use it. What's perfect for one person - like this is for me - will not fit the needs of another.

@@BobDoyleMedia the AI AUDIO is sox.... generated audio is very bad.. the effects are not comparable with free version of professional software... i was disapointed. It is a good idea but defenely NOT ready for professionals... I try to get the money back.. but.. WAS NOT REDUNDABLE.. to me.. it felt close to a scam :(

I bought their silly perpetual license and that is only good for basic editing feature. To get most of it you have to subscribe to their some bullshit creative cloud monthly subscription to get effects, transitions and everything good that makes editing with Filmora worthwhile.

@@jayd6098 I totally understand not liking to have another subscription to pay for, but whether you use their subscription service or somebody else’s, most people are going to be getting stock footage from somewhere. So it’s just about where you’re spending those dollars. If you have a subscription service that you like better for that same amount of money, then you don’t need to worry about their offering.
