as a coles cashier, i have some tips 1. go at night, we're bored, we'll strike up a conversation plus a lot of the staff will be friendlier 2. sort your cold stuff into one spot preferably at the front it just makes it easier for us and quicker for you 3. bbq chickens get cheaper the later it gets (i scored a $3 after my shift once) 4. oh my god please use your flybuys i cant imagine how many points you have

If they came within the last hour of closing, NO ONE would be friendlier than normal. We would fucking hate it. There's only two people working at that time, and we'd want to kill them haha. We aren't bored at night, we have so much to do to close the store! Yes sort the colds it's so much better for everyone involved, even sort jars and heavy things from the biscuits etc.

That shows you have standards and are raising amazing children. You can honestly tell how much she loves you. Its the small things in life that matter. God bless you and your precious family! Thank you again for tolerating the rude, nasty, condescending behind the keyboard big mouths. You're a wonderful mother and it shows in the respect your daughter gives to you.

while people shouldn’t be so rude they really should take a second look at their food choices because a few snacks is ok but that’s all they were buying and that’s very bad for growing kids and causes many health problems! If you followed me into the store without me knowing you would see me buying one snack food with sugar in it and the rest fruit! I have 6 kids and I’m not a stuck up super nutritious freak but I am concerned about what my kids eat and try to keep the processed food down to a bare minimum, all the hot dogs and “chicken patties” and packaged food but hardly no fruits and vegetables compared to all the junk. It looked like they got 10X more junk food than nutritious food. I just don’t get how someone can knowingly feed their children all that crap!
@theMerryMonarch3 жыл бұрын
@@amber_Forever16 OK, she answered this in a video but I thought you.might not have seen it so I'll tell you about it. This is a stock up haul, not a weekly haul or whatever you were thinking. So, like, those aren't hotdogs, they're beef sausages. As in bratwurst. When they eat that, they eat one per person, so they use 18 and freeze the rest for other meals. When they eat chocolate, they eat it once a week and only four squares of chocolate per person and freeze the rest for later. When eating biscuits, they eat two biscuits each and save the rest. And so on. They aren't munching on cookies everyday, all day, they have small portions of it. It just looks like a lot because they stock up on it. If you go on their chanbel you'll see a vegetable haul. They buy vegetables at a specialty shop, like a farmer's market. They also have a few videos with their actual meals in it and you can see that they do eat lots of vegetables and small portions. I know, because you see this all at once, it looks like they eat a bunch of junk all the time but it doesn't seem to be the truth at all.

What about whole grain breads, unsweetened cereals, semi-skimmed milk, unprocessed meat (if you must eat meat!), fresh fish, salads, fruits, veg ( I saw some fresh produce, but not a lot for 18 people. We more than that much fresh produce for just 5 of us.). There’s so much expensive, over processed stuff there. You could save a HUGE amount by not buying processed stuff. Maybe cost isn’t an issue for you? But I agree, a treat is nice!

This is just one shop. We have more hauls coming up with the other produce we buy.

I'm the youngest of 3 here in America. But growing up, we had a lot of ppl living with us. My cousins, parents friends etc. This is how my mom would shop. The only thing she didnt buy milk in bulk. She'd buy 2- 1 gallon per week.I was the milk bandit. Always drank it. Lol Unfortunately, I have not been blessed with children. Love this! Brings back childhood memories.

I used to shop like this but now i seperate what i would spend in a month which is 200 and i buy what we need weekly. I dont buy the junk anymore just real food, fruit etc. It works out so much cheaper, my last shop was 30 pound at lidl. But if i had that many kids i would do.it the same as you there is no way i would pay over the odds. And when it comes to the kids helping i make my kids help and i only have the 3. Im not cooking and then washing up too lol. Plus i have a rule...18 and you start bringing money in. I went to college and i worked on a saturday i paid board and had my own money plus i had to help in the house and it made me able to deal with money and life outside of the family.

I just came across your video , I like seeing people with big families . I come from a big family not that big but big enough . I’m in the US . Love watching your video on the different foods and prices wow what a difference in prices than here . We have a couple friends out that way they told us stuff is pretty expensive. Hopefully the wages are higher too so you can afford it lol if not a person would really struggle specially with a big family . Yikes . 10.50 for a thing of chicken patties wow yeah I’d raise my own chickens if I lived there . Which is what I do here in the US we have our own chickens and turkeys and stuff but we do buy some things from the store too but I wouldn’t pay for it if it was that high .Yikes . Very interesting to see all the cool prices and different foods you got there . I can’t wait to see more videos on meeting your family and all the children . I love watching the other ladies that have a lot of kids too on here . They are very lovely families. ❤️❤️❤️👍. Hope you all have a beautiful thanksgiving day coming up from my family to yours

I’m one of 6 kids in Australia and we usually get food from charities because we try to save every cent and we tend to stick to more plant based diets such as straight up fruit and veg and that’s usually what we have and will have a few meat products once a month and a treat once a week.
@TheBonellFamily5 жыл бұрын
We dont eat food from charities because we believe that that food is for those really struggling and since we all work, we do ok and can support ourselves. In fact we often contribute what we can to help those in need. We also eat an abundance of fresh fruit and veg here in our household, there are other videos that show those hauls. And all our treats and snacks get frozen and used sparingly over the next month or two

Fresh produce is more expensive at coles &woolues. If you can find a good fruit &veg shop you can buy it fot half the price or maybe even a market

In australia coupon shopping doesn't really exist. We basically get weekly special catalogue adds from the 4 main food shops . Coles, Woolworth, Aldi, I ga, specials regular cycle per month between the stores of similar items. Fruit & veg is seasonal & usually cheaper at markets . Use buy dates are a big thing to look for as hot weather & distance can affect shelf life. The average family spends up to $200 aus a week on groceries. Prices have fluctuated alot in the last 5 years.

I work check out in a supermarket and I can same I get shops like this just about everyday! Love these shoppers because they usually always have their shopping organised (colds, meats, fruit, heavys and smellys) I usually clear them in under 5mins 😂 don’t get much of a chat with that but it’s good to get them out quickly as some other customers get mad that they are behind big shoppers 😂 my big shoppers usually don’t do flybuys or our promotions because they hate holding people up, I just loudly say “it’s fine take your time, the other customers can wait” cause I wanna make sure they get those points 😱 sooooo many points and stickers (promotion) with those shops!!

16:04 Here in Bermuda I’ll spend $250-280 for about 3 days of food for 3 people. And that’s carefully selecting organic s fruits and Veges. Whole grains and meats. We eat mainly Whole Foods. I wish prices were cheaper. And I’ve noticed an increase lately. I’m from the states and comparing NY to Bermuda it’s probably about triple to quadruple the price. Example fish can run 28.99 a lb. I know a lot of people eat a lot of frozen stuff cause it’s just so much cheaper. Sad that it’s comes to that for a lot of families. I’ll buy a whole chicken to make for dinner that whole chicken costs around 24-27 depending on the weight.

Just is there any Aussie that eat sausages just by themselves like they don’t have a snag they just have the sausage
@icantthinkofagoodname18384 жыл бұрын
A snag is a sausage. It's the Aussie slang for sausage. Plenty of people eat just sausages but in general, not sure how many people in any country would be satisfied with a lump of meat on its own without any accompaniments.
