Hello Viewers,
After the epic Sikkim exploration, it was time for us to head to the beaches. Presenting episode 1 of a 3 day road trip from Bangalore to Mangalore on my xuv700. This episode takes us from Bangalore to Mangalore exploring through scenic western ghats. While our final destination was Mangalore, we enjoyed the drive thoroughly through the ghat section. Western Ghats has its own beauty during the monsoons which is hard to find elsewhere in India.
The trip turned out to be a surprise combo of hills and sea at the end. Early morning start helped us to beat the traffic and were on to the highways in no time. Scenic route from Nelamangala to Hasan was a treat to drive on. Then came the ghats which deserves special mention anyways and then on to the beaches. Overall a wonderful experience in the entire journey.

Yes it is possible. We visited Malpe, Maravanthe etc. You may not be able to visit all. So let me make it simple for you. If you are like just go to the beach and take feel of it, Malpe is a must visit. But if you like driving and enjoy driving by the beach Maravanthe is must visit. how much it will take time from Bengaluru to Mangalore vua Own CAR and what about the highway ? pls advise.

Highways are not that great. It will take 10hrs plus. If you are lucky then 9hrs. There are work in progress from about 50kms before Mangalore so roads are horrible.. from Bangalore to Hassan it will be butter smooth. Pain starts after that

Thanks for sharing the plan. Mangalore and Udupi you can book the same stay as I did. Basically if you plan your stay here, then you can cover all the places conveniently without losing your privacy. For Gokarna, there are many options and more or less available in all budget ranges. Agoda will help. But it will be crowded. Hampi- you can stay in Hyatt.. Hospete I have never visited so will not be able to comment. Hope it helps.

There is no kitchen here. But there is a person named Jayram who will help you out with home cooked delicious local cuisine if you tell him in advance. He will help you out. In case you are not okay with the food, you can opt for swiggy or Zomato from nearby restaurants as well. They have pretty fast delivery cycles. Jayram can help with good restaurants as well from where you can order food. Try out Kori roti and chicken from the home cooked food menu. It is just wow. If there is anything I can help with, pls let me know

From Mangaluru set Charmadi ghat view point and once u cross the ghats set your destination to Bangalore. This road has steep curves and hairpins but road is butter smooth. You will enjoy riding on it. If you need further details pls let me know. Ride safe!

Ayega woh bhi shortly. Uske liye Thora lamba trip karna padega.. But roughly tank to tank it goes about 848kms for AWD variant.. This is based on my previous trip to Sikkim. This was with fully loaded car with 4 occupants and luggage..
