I agree, I have bought quite a few “pre-bonsai” and am always disappointed. I like now starting from seeds or cuttings so I only have myself to blame 🙃

Nice Moose!! Hahaha!! Fungus growth alright. The little French girl I am, I was chuckling away... LOL Those mushrooms look nice when they are out, they don't live very long, about 3-4 days is all I get from them. I like that tree! I like the flat top too!! I'm jealous!! Our frost free time is after the Full Moon in June. We can have frost after that, but mostly safe. Last summer got down to single digit night temperatures almost the full summer till 2 weeks in October. Squash, Pumpkin, zucchini and such only had male flowers because of that. But fruit trees, berry trees and flowering trees went absolutely nuts! Oops, off topic, sorry... Stop myself before I write a book Ha!

Greetings from South Australia Nigel. We have the same problem with that creeping oxalis on this side of the world, and it is such a nuisance, once you've got it it's a never-ending job to eradicate it. I'm enjoying your videos ,cheers from down under .

I'm slowly getting rid of it from my pots, it takes a lot of work as they have such deep roots and the seed pods explode with hundreds of new seeds!!! G'day and thanks Mandie!!

Hi Nigel! I’d like to ask your opinion on repotting. I just purchased 4 pre bonsai. They are planted in what looks like coco coir and pine bark. I’m in California. Do you think I can still repot them or should I wait till next spring. They are , Chinese elm, pyracantha, Fukien tree and Brazilian Rain tree. Temperature here is running in the 60’s during day and 50 at night. I have them indoors for now to let them recuperate from shipping. Thanks for your advice and all the great videos.
@TheBonsaiZone8 ай бұрын
I think you are safe to repot them, just take it easy on the root pruning if the root tips are active!!
