I choose to believe Scarbrand's back story went like this. Khorne takes Scarbrand up to the highest tower he has and says. "Son what was that about? Who taught you to attack an opponent from behind?" And Scarbrand still held in Khorne's grasp "Uncle Tzeentch said I could totally take you down if I did that." Khorne begins fuming in anger "Your uncle is a bad influence on you! Your grounded! Now go to the mortal realm until you've thought about what you've done!"

True, for every foe slain is another corpse for the carrion scavengers, left to rot and decay. But I believe Nurgle specifically rises in power with the spread of disease and his gifts, even eclipsing the powers of all Chaos Gods during pandemics that envelop the world, like the Black Plague

Funny, I always thought Slaanesh would be the most powerful considering if no one is having sex, then no one would be born to spread Disease, War, or Change. If I understand the Warp correctly, then wouldn't all sexual energy from all manner of creatures, from tiny insects, to mammoths go straight into Slaanesh's realm? If so then the skaven alone probably puts Slaanesh on a whole new scale of power.

Akshually funny you mention that. Slaanesh isn't just about sex, it's the excess of emotion, that's why he/she gets a hard-on for the elves, since they experience emotion much stronger. And in 40k, the Eldar had so much sex and debauchery cuz they literally won at their Civilization game becoming a perfect society, that life became boring as hell. Slaanesh bursted out of existence and I'm pretty sure the other Chaos Gods teamed up to 3v1 and put her in her place

@@wildefice1 The same thing happened with Tzeentch when the Polar Gates collapsed in Warhammer Fantasy. When Chaos and the winds of magic spread throughout the world and everything twisted and changed, it empowered Tzeentch to the point he was THIS close to winning the Great Game. Some say he autosabotaged himself to keep the game going because that's a very Tzeentch thing to do. Khorne, Slaanesh and Nurgle allied with one another and shattered the Great Architect's body into thousands of shards. The power of the 4 chaos gods fluctuates greatly, but generally speaking, in a franchise called Warhammer it stands to reason for Khorne to be at the top most of the time

Honestly, I feel like Khorn is underestimated and under appreciated simply because of his generically demonic aesthetic. The way I actually see Khorn is as if he is just a tall, perfectly-build human male with skin of eldritch brass beneath which burns the infinite flame of his wrathful power. He rarely ever speaks, or barely ever even makes a sound at all; simply allowing the screams of his servants and all they wreak upon the world speak for him. Whenever he does speak, though, he does not raise his voice. For a God of War should only ever have to speak through his deeds, and if words must be spoken, it is not their volume that carries his will and intent, but the words he so carefully chooses. He is not known to speak with intelligence, but rather, he talks with articulation and conviction befitting of a deity who has mastered the concept of rage. In fact, I’d have it be implied that Khorne hasn’t bellowed out a battle cry for many long aeons; as when he does, planets disintegrate, stars shatter, and reality itself shakes, cracks, and tears open.

I too was always bummed out by the simplistic way GW writes off Chaos, especially in the 40.000 universe, where Chaos Space Marines and such are just "the bad guys", without many grey areas were to reflect upon, unless you touch on the Legions who don't really align themselves with the force of the 4 gods, like the Night Lords. Similarly to Khorne, I would have liked if his greater daemons, or one particular type of his followers, weren't just hatred fueled machine, but more like honorable, silent warriors, or even master tacticians. After all, war is so much more than just throwing yourself screaming at the enemy, war is all about strategy, so you'd expect the god of war to be the best strategist in the universe. In the same way, Khorne really upholds the concept of honor and single combat, so I would have expected that he would have other duelist type units other than Skulltaker. It's a shame that all we get to see of him is the more savage and brutish part, without anything of his other side of the coin.

I am having a blast playing warhammer 3. As much as if not more than my first total war game. Which was either The first Rome or the first medieval I can’t remember lol but I fell in love with the warhammer universe because of total war and it was the franchise I put off the longest. I love the lore, a lot of talented people are behind it. With every game universe, or movie, or book, that I get immersed in, I want to know all of the lore and understand it completely as best as I can for full immersion. And so far Warhammer has an explanation for everything and a lot of it is well done. Not cheap plot armor type of lore.

can y'all imagine a soulslike game set in the chaos wastes. like all 4 different environments with each having it's own unique enemies and bosses. or even just in the warhammer world. like an area with orcs and goblins as enemies, one with chaos warriors, one with beastmen etc. and i mean just a game set in the world with the monster designs, it doesn't even need to follow story or put in named characters. Hell you can even put in the everchosen armor set as a side quest with each piece being unlocked by beating a secret boss fight (like a greater daemon or previous everchosen)
