Bedrock is easier to first grasp, but gets harder for complex, fast circuits due to its inconsistencies. Java is harder to learn, but is easier for larger circuits. That’s just what I think, as I do both. Also, you can’t try bringing one mentality to the other. In Java, you have to embrace the 1-tick pulses and quasi-connectivity, in Bedrock, you have to slow down to prevent circuit muddling and such.

Used to be on Bedrock (because my phone was my only usable device; all my laptops were useless) but once I got a usable laptop and used Java, I’ve been loving its redstone MUCH more and have never looked back. I get why someone who has spent much more time on Bedrock and is just so used to it that they don’t mind the drawbacks, would rather stay, fair enough, but personally, I find the QC stuff much more tolerable than the inconsistent and slow timings of Bedrock redstone. Quasi connectivity is actually understandable enough once you learn how it works, though you DO need to read it carefully to understand it. It’s still extremely good to have Bedrock KZbinrs like you around! You all help make Bedrock less crappy!

Hey BTM, I made a hipster fence on java. Also here's a tip for java, target blocks can redirect redstone into them!!

Love the intro! As luck would have it after playing Bedrock the last couple years as well I recently tried to remake the first thing I ever made in Java in about 2013, which was a portcullis gate - it went about this well so I feel your pain!

Thanks! Ah yes, you would think both being Minecraft it would be a little easer 😅

As a Java turned Bedrock player, I feel your pain dude... Redstone feels so freaking different and I had a headache for a week making the transition.

Imagine having sequential executed redstone with predictable delay instead of random executed redstone. This meme was made by the Coffee gang.

it’s so interesting seeing a bedrock’s player reaction on java! I’m mostly a java player, so good job!

video idea; you do a collab with mumbo on both platforms where mumbo joins you in bedrock and you teach/help him build redstone there and vice versa with you on java
@TejasIsAmazing3 жыл бұрын
I guess redstone skills are universal. If you can do something in version, you may be able to fo it in the other, just with some tinkering around. Like i usually do redstone in bedrock, but just as much in java as well. But you still were able to make a 3×3 piston door in java, a version you barely play, and still manage to make it small, and here is me, having almost equal redstone knowledge in both versions, and still having piston doors i make humongous! Oh also the upwards double piston extender was almost correct the first try, you needed to use a repeater at 2 ticks instead of redstone.

Yeah a little can be transferred, but not as much to make it easy 😥😂

For the first vertical piston extender you tried to make, you need a repeater facing towards the piston instead of a dust and a button
