Lego literally has an 18+ line. The fact they refuse to do adult licences is baffling to me when they have so clearly steered away from the only kids branding. Jaws was a step in the right direction but even that movie was PG.

Actually they do have an +18 line, but it's more for people who want certain LEGOs as centerpieces and models. For example in the most current Lego magazine I got one of the sets is a 2 for 1 of The Great Deku Tree from the LoZ series! Being an LoZ fan, I really would like to have it..... Sadly it cost $300!

I’d love to see LEGO tackle Horror Movie themed sets, would definitely be putting that 18+ line to good use, but I have to say that of the sets you showed I think The Shining is a far more likely candidate for a set than The Exorcist. I say this because The Exorcist is well… The Exorcist. It’s a film heavily centered around themes of Christianity and The Occult, and even if it’s in the 18+ line I don’t think a lot of people would be super thrilled about LEGO making a set themed around demonic possession. The fact that the original book was based on a real life Exorcism probably wouldn’t fly too terribly well.

One of Lego's principles is no religious iconography so a cross is a nono. I could actually see them making an IT set considering the similarities to Stranger things which did receive a set.

The "logic" of Lego not doing horror films and violent video game sets and etc really immediately falls apart when you remember they have licensed sets from MANY adult themes. Friends, The Simpsons, Fornite, etc. Just feels really gate-keepy and grifty. Edit: Also it's a small detail but I REALLY like the chainsaw build for Leatherface. Def gonna steal that for my builds ;) Edit edit: Also big mistake basing The Shining set off the movie as opposed to the book IMO. The movie is fine (one of the only good ones Kubrick made IMO), but it's frankly an insulting depiction of the fantastic book. Way different, and Kubrick himself said he only changed so much because he didn't respect King's story. Still, fantastic build in that regard. I love the Snow Cat especially.
