Great to see an auto maker looking forward to help make things easier for us . Just one note about drilling holes in the vehicle . Please use some paint to prevent rust around the hole and always put a rubber grommet in the hole to protect the wire . I know you edited and skipped to preserve time but just stating for those that do it themselves .

@@TheBroncoNation Really appreciate the video. It would be nice to see how many circuit wires go where. Based on the information given, it is handy, but many are wondering about planning their accessories properly with circuit wire information. From what I watched, 6 aux switches go into the junction area under the hood, but it is unclear how many leave that area truly. It makes sense that the front hood is 1. Possibly 2 that travel to the glove box, but it is also mentioned that the light bar area is one, but your video shows it really doesnt originate from under the hood area, but relayed through a connection in the glove box. Also the rear accessed circuit also doesnt come from the hood, it relays through the glove box. This seems to indicate from at least knowledge gained in the video, there are only at minimum 3 exiting circuits that leave the hood area to elsewhere in the vehicle. I am going to wager that a 4th circuit exits to locations for the wheel pod lights option (potentially multiple wires for their separate vehicle underbody locations), but this is what I am asking about. If the next video update can go over how many wires and circuits go off to where, that would be phenomenal! Thank you again! BroncoNation member btw.

For what it's worth, some light bars on the market are easy enough and don't require drilling and all this extra work. F150leds offers a 40-in light bar was pretty simple mounting and wiring utilizing the AUX switches. Although the brackets that come with it are garbage and don't allow the plastic painted accessory covers to close flush with the vehicle, I had to purchase separately a different set of brackets designed for use without the plastic covers. Everything worked out fine.

@@kill-nine Would be best to have all blank switches and then a sheet of labels with the lettering transparent to allow light to shine through. The cost to make and stock a bunch of pre-labeled switches would make them too expensive to buy stand-alone. I wouldn't pay $20 each for a custom-labeled switch, but that's what it would end up costing us.

@michaelrooney952

That's great that a manufacture would include wired switches. Is there a color guide as far as matching up switches to the distribution box? One important note... the power supply wire gauge is WAY TOO SMALL to supply the proper amperage to a light bar. That wire would melt if the fuse did not blow first causing a potential problem. So typically you would have to run a larger gauge wire to supply enough power to the light bar. The switch should control the relay and from that relay, a heavier gauge wire to the lamp. I highly suggest further research or let a professional installer handle the install. This video shows cool features but can be mis-leading.
@dpilot1999
@dpilot1999 8 ай бұрын
Actually. Depending on which switch you use, the amperage is plenty. The aux 1 switch can go up to 30amps. 2 and 3 can do 15A. While 4,5,6 can do 10A
