ive been trying to make a realistic snail for ages but ive never been satisfied, so this gave me a good kick in the back to try again, i need to get some clay softener, the skintexture was the problem for me! 😂 Love it! Hi I really like your video I did the snail with sculpey white clay it was not perfect but i like it its the second sculpture one I do. I hope that with more classes I take I will get better. I did not use the softing stuff you did, but when I put in oven it burn in 20 min's. I notice you did not bake yours. I follow the sculpey clay instruction. what did I do wrong? Olga Alvarez

Here's a little hint for you- You were worried about the one shell being thin- Try soaking it in white glue and a little water... for a couple of days and then let it dry.. it will absorb the glue and end up being much stronger!

Missed you too! I love your work and this is incredible! I want to watch it again. I am weird though and I love the little land snails that are plentiful around here. I so need to try one of these (or more) for myself. As I said I really love those little land snails. :D I have lots of pictures of them and one really good one taken using Macro. :) My only complaint about them is when they end up underfoot. I never like hearing that crunch sound as I am walking through the yard. :P I wince whenever I hear it. I read about your computer. You should build yourself a new one! :D I did a few years ago and I will never go back to buying one off the shelf again. - Heidi

+BlackCat2 Actually I'm considering ordering some baby African giant ...snails? Well, they get big and If I made a really nice place for them I'd film them all the time The thought of 4k and optimal lighting just where you need it.. and the face of the tank I guess would have to come off so I can get close with the camera. I still need lots of practice with that thing. I had a bad experience trying to replace my CPU in my computer... I order a nice CPU and installed 2 of them (ya I return the one and tried another lol) but later learned it was my bios out of date. Well if I mess with that it's gonna turn into a brick for sure =D So I gave up on trying to build one. But I never tried from scratch.. not sure if a new motherboards comes with updated bios or not. Obviously I'm a noob I was thinking of getting a pre owned workstation I've seen them as low as 399 and it had a i7. That might be easier I think. And you you can watch this video as many times as you want, thank thank you! :D
@BlackCat_28 жыл бұрын
Polymer Clay Artist Thank you. I will watch it and your other videos as often as I wish. :D You should do just fine building your own computer. The hardest part is ordering the parts but putting them together is easy. I used NewEgg for everything except the power supply. I will be building another computer either this year or next so I will be using NewEgg again. :) My son watched me build my computer and he said it was just like working with Lego's and he is right. Everything has a place it snaps into and you just have to make sure it goes together right. :D Having some large snails sounds cool! I would feel bad though that they were not living in the wild sometimes. I know that is weird but I am weird. I accepted that a long time ago. *grins* I do hope you will take video if you do get them. :D

This is absolutely amazing. It looks so realistic (said by a snail owner). Did you leave it like that or did you use some sort of glue to attach the shell? And does the clay become hard after a bit or does it stay soft like that?
