It is interesting how the themes reflect the fashion of their time while still all trying to match the Bond style. From that angle the Billie Ellish one might be more interesting than this, which delivers the 60s sound in a more oppolent fashion, updating on production rather than on modernizing the sound. But of course Adele has this amazing voice and this song totally makes use of it.

Skyfall is arguably one of the best Bond movies. Daniel Craig was superb, gritty and even vulnerable. Adele's song was epic and perfect for the movie. But Dame Judi Dench was devine. When the movie ended my eyes were red. Then I understood that M stood for Mother (Metaphorically and Symbolically). What a movie. Perfect execution in every aspect and lots of emotion.

Skyfall is far from the best Bond movie. It is indeed the best by a mile during Daniel's reign. You have to look at the classics such as Goldfinger or Dr No both Bond's played by arguably the best Bond: Sean Connery. Though I've always had a soft spot for Timothy Dalton in Living Daylights.

Dr. No was the first Bond movie that I seen and actually it's the first Bond movie in the series. Sean Connery is one of my favourite actors, I am a huge fan of him. Regarding Timothy Dalton as Bond - I personally think that Dalton was a head of his time as James Bond, especially in License to Kill. Dalton tried to portrait the role of Bond that Daniel Craig is playing these days - Tough, gritty and even vulnerable. For me Daniel Craig brought the character into new life and I actually see him as a development of Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton roles. A fantastic blast from the past - not only did Adele perform this song but she co-wrote it with producer Paul Epworth with amazing orchestration by J.A.C. Redford. Sam Smith's new song for Spectre, "The Writing's On The Wall" is just the opposite--pure, unadulterated tripe that belongs in a lame ass rom com instead of in a James Bond movie.

I love this song it told us a whole story before the film started. It was an end -we lost 'M' and gained Mallory. Dench and Fiennes are great in these roles - looking forward to the 30 September No Time To Die

Actualy WORST Bond movie ever! Why? Craig makes in my mind the best 007, the story was great, well done..... UNTIL we learn HE IS James Bond. It's not a pseudonym, or a code name. But really James Bond. Screwing the whole time line. How could this James, born in 68 been the James that took down Dr. No 4 years before he was born or Goldfinger. Different story line you say? Well the 1964 Austin Martin DB5 he drives tells another story that is THE car from Goldfinger, tricked out by Q branch. Or your forced into believing that ALL the other 007's were code name James Bond and this one just so happens to be actually named James Bond. I could explain even more but I think you get the idea. Skyfalls ending in a matter of 10 seconds screws the whole franchise giving it a huge middle finger. At best we would have to pretend that non of the movies or book happened, up to The Living Daylights in 86 assuming James was 19 years old.

fartinface98 Technically speaking, Daniel Craig is the "old" james bond, because he played in some of the original "JB700" (GTA reference) movies, then there was a newer guy (forget his name) introduced for about 10 minutes (metaphorically) and then Daniel was re-introduced. Lol
