just wanna point out that there is no universal runway design - the only thing that has to be the same about each runway is the runway number has to be the heading of the runway. apart from that, airports can choose how they want their runway to look, if it has any markers on it, etc.

edstoj Uhhh.. wait I’m an AvGeek myself but aviation is pretty much the only thing that’s universal and I’ve never seen a runway different, some shorter runways have different touchdown markings but an airport can’t just decide to paint on a runway

@@ProdbySvarg Sure he didn't "build" it but the design was correct. There is some argument in the community whether or not mods are "legit" but in builds like this airport it's the design that counts none of us would want to watch a guy fill in a runway or parking lot.

@@jamespaddock736 true, but what's common among most runways that follow the ICAO is the distance between the markings. In this video he didn't make the markings according to the 500 ft distance between each marking, which is fair enough because not many people really bother about it but to me it's slightly annoying. Anyways, to be far it is probably far from truly accurate but I'll take it as its just minecraft and we can create things however we want. Also an avgeek Edit : 500ft between each touchdown marking

As an airline pilot I have to say this is impressive, usually people building airports on games (especially cities skyline) make plenty of big mistakes etc, the only remark I'd make is the distance between every "arms" of the terminal, there isn't enough space for an aircraft to taxi to gate due to parked aircraft Besides it, great job and outstanding patience!

I’ve been watching a lot of your time lapses and I just wanted to note a few things I really appreciated and that I thought others could learn from your techniques a.) I like that you use worldedit instead of custom terrain, it really helps the builder get a feel for what he’s working with and it keeps the feel of the terrain authentic. b.) I like how instead of trying to draw perfect shapes you feel them out instead making your curves and corner rounding more natural looking c.) you establish patterns when you build, making your large scale structures easier to finish and appear to be one piece rather than a mess d.) Your use of detail to create depth in your structures is perfect, no one likes too many flat surfaces or it all starts to look artificial. I know you have 100,000 subs and I’m no one to you but I hope you can believe from my sincerity that I take Minecraft building projects pretty serious and I think you’re definitely one of the greatest. Most servers would need whole team, and maybe pay people, to take on some of your individual projects. Impressive.
