I like this inside look at dealers doing what they do with each other. These guys all know the business and it’s cool to see both sides come together respectfully and make things happen.

Everyone calling the first vendor stingy when TheBulbaStore also walked away from the deal over $5. Both sides have their lowest and highest numbers.
@LiaoCards2 сағат бұрын
The first guy was completely reasonable in sticking to his guns. There's comps and then there's comps with more nuance for rarer lower pop cards that don't get bought/sold that often. I've personally had Dylan reach out to me for cards he wanted and comps were thrown around, that I didn't want to play ball with. And I sold my cards just a little later for basically full asking. That $5 goes both ways. Why lose a hard to find PC card over $5? No one is bad guy here, so no need to bash the seller.
@BDO031Сағат бұрын
yeah if its a hard to find card imma pay what i need to, if i have the money for it lol. but im also not a reseller so.

Bro, you can't launch a, "5 dollars is going to be a deal breaker", when the 5 dollars is a deal breaker for you lol He has the leverage and demand, and doesn't have to pay shipping and cut a share to ebay or others.. so of course he's going to go full value on a $400+ card. That 5 dollars adds up no matter how you cut it.

I'm not sure 100% sure about this but.. if you buy / sell from vendor to vendor then I feel like you will / should get better deals then regular people who are buying from a vendor. Just like you can buy things for much cheaper in bulk as a business. That's what I think anyways. Especially if you are a very well known vendor who is very likable like you.

@wierd2272 сағат бұрын
the first barter was very interesting to me. So slab sold in September it was above 500 and at the time of the vid it was last sold at around 430. Bulba was wanting around 430 due to last sold/most recent sale. Yet vendor's argument was that Sept sale was close enough to justify higher asking. However, I'm willing to wager that if he had a whatever a TWM Greninja at 650 yesterday and then overnight last solds were now 1k, i sincerely doubt he would resonate with "$650 was very recent so you should price it at 650 area."? Obviously, I'm assuming and want to give the benefit of the doubt but its an interesting look into how dealers see their prices I think

I really dislike this kind of content from card vendors. Asking other vendors to give you cards at 73% but youd laugh at a collector at your table trying to buy at 73%. Just kind of icky 😕
@ThePallapower2 сағат бұрын
I mean bulbs isn't a vendor seller. He buys with the intention of selling to people for pc and grail chases. So yea he goes to vendor sellers and drives hard bargains because that's how he makes his money. If they didn't wanna play ball with him they would just say so like the first guy.

@joeyrulz86Сағат бұрын
this is the content that gives you a real perspective on how the vendor space operates. This happens in all collectible markets. some vendors want to move inventory fast so will take the lower % to stay liquid. This is why he will ask for the lower numbers to give himself some wiggle room for when he goes to sell it. This is perfectly normal for this space. Im glad he shows it to give people a real perspective on how vending works. They call them scammers sometimes when they offer lower %s but in reality people think they can get 100% comp selling to vendors... when vendors dont even get 100% after selling online after fees. Its the part of the casual collector i hate the most. They dont understand comps dont mean they got paid exactly that. take 13-15% away and thats what they paid. Been in this space for 15 years now as a dealer/collector. This is good content for people to understand what goes behind the scenes.

@duellegend713 сағат бұрын
@ I mean there’s margins and then there’s being a dick over 5$ lol. If you’re that down bad over 5$ maybe don’t go into business where the idea is haggling.
@oshovv3 сағат бұрын
prob bought high lol. and maybe looking at it as a micro sense instead of macro, which is fine for short term gains, but isnt gonna move more product in the long term. failing a deal bc of $5 that you'll make up somewhere else is wild, now you might sit on that card for weeks instead of having that money to reinvest
@blueyespersian3 сағат бұрын
@@117NateDogagreed, don’t feel he was unfair, just stuck to his guns on some pretty hard to find cards (in that specific grade and around that specific pricepoint). I do find it interesting when someone who’s haggling over $5 continues to question someone else over being firm on the $5 difference. No bad blood or shade, just genuinely find that interesting.
