I walked into this girls house after a first date and her 3 yr old Bullie came howling down the hall like I was an intruder. He grabbed onto my arm with his mouth to let me know he was not stoked about me being there. He was just protecting her, and most importantly, trying to SCARE me and not HURT me. I lifted my arm with his head still attached to look me in the eye. "HEY," I said, "Thats mine!" He glanced over to her for the next move, and she just shrugged and said to him, "You got yourself into this mess." He released gently and we became best friends fast. I had him off leash and listening after a week, and his 2 month old sister the next week. She had spent months and months, and hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get these two trained. Both of them chose me over her as leader before the month was over. She was not happy about it.

Gave mine a cow bone for Christmas. Also I would play fetch with logs, and swing him by the canines (he'd squeeze down enough to hold on but not enough to hurt). I named him Oden; he was the gentlest dog ever he weighed 105lbs, was pure muscle and love. He was intact, and had babies with a half German shepard half coyote dog... it was comical; the babies fat heads were too heavy for them at first. Sadly we didn't get any of the puppies.

When my daughter was very young I lived on a second floor of a house but there was no door on the steps. Any time I let her crawl around on the floor he would always lay down Infront of the steps ( he never laid there unless she was crawling around) I'd watch her but so did he and if she ever got close to him he would look at me and bark but wouldn't move. It's like he knew she shouldn't be near the steps. I miss him 😢 (he was a pit bull)

Well I'm not a dog "expert" by any means but I had a Pit Bull, she was absolutely the best dog that ever walked the face of this earth, she was a solid 70 pound beautiful brindle girl. 💯💯💯!! Doesn’t matter what they were bred for HUNDREDS of years ago. It matters how you raise that dog and also give them outlets to do what they love. Pitties have high prey drive, lure sticks are amazing for them and they are excellent at agility training ! You can even train them to compete, they’d love it !! They are amazing for people with children and people with an active lifestyle. I’ve been on rescues and seen pitties so aggressive that they wouldn’t hesitate to rip your face off, once in the right hands and away from the abusive owners, very loving, big cuddle bugs. Any breed can be aggressive with bad owners. I’ve seen a golden retriever with bad owners bite multiple children in the face and nothing was done because of the dogs breed and what’s worse is it kept happening. Multiple children needed stitches and I’m sure therapy. So glad I’m away from that neighborhood. It’s ALWAYS the owners fault. Pitbulls are amazing dogs. They don’t deserve the hate and abuse that happens to them. They’re very misunderstood.

Let's just say that the LOYALTY of a pitbull is unreal. I got my 3 yr old daughter a Rednose, and now she's 6. Sister (pit) won't allow anything or anyone to come between her and my daughter. She won't let my daughter go in the street, AND if I even raise my voice at my daughter Sister will let me know that I need to lower my tone!! However if I'm demanding orders at Sister, she does them immediately. I just have to watch my tone with my daughter. It's so amazing to see a game dog have so much love for my child!!

American Bulldog and American Pitbull are VERY different dogs! The American Bulldog decends from the Mastiff Where as the American Pitbull decends from the Terrier family. Terriers and Mastiffs are bred for different uses. Mastiffs are more of a Workhorse type dog that were bred for guarding & protecting & even Aiding man during Wartime! One of the oldest dog breeds alive today. Terriers were bred for killing Vermin & flushing out rodents, but we soon realized that they were so much more. The name Terrier means "Dog of the Earth" 🐕 🌎 Terriers are have a unique personality combination of Intelligence & Fearlessness. I just got a bully Shepherd mix puppy. We got to meet her dad who is rhe bully. He was huge but so sweet and loving. Wanted all the attention and when i picked up his daughter he stood up on me smelling her. When we went to leave he gave her one last lick and then went to his other pups. It was sad taking her away but they couldnt afford to house all of them plus her dad and her aunt. Since we got her she acts like her daddy but does show some traits to her mom that we never got to meet but the owner selling the puppies told us she was sweet too. The puppy is very spunky and follows me everywhere. We named her Hennah Lee. I would definitely recommend getting bully or even the mix i mentioned

My 13 year old pitbull just past away in late 2022. She was the sweetest and most gentle dog a family could ever ask for. She was the first member in our family after my wife and I married, and she welcomed all 3 of my children into the home and saw them grow up. She’d always let them crawl all over her and use her as a pillow for naps. She passed away peacefully in her backyard, we kept her under expensive medication the last few months of life after being diagnosed with IVDD to let her live her final days pain-free. We all miss her. RIP Brandy you were a good girl.
