প্রয়াত দুই সঙ্গীত শিল্পী আইয়ুব বাচ্চু, লাকী আখান্দ থেকে শুরু করে ইব্রাহীম আহমেদ কমল কিংবা শাফিন আহমেদ….. সবার কাছেই যেন ভরসার এক নাম মোহাম্মদ আব্দুর রফিক। কারণ হাতে নিয়ে নাড়াচাড়া করলেই তিনি ধরতে পারতেন গিটারের রোগ। দেন সঠিক চিকিৎসাও। তাইতো শিল্পীদের কাছে গিটারের ডাক্তার নামেই পরিচিত তিনি। সাইন্সল্যাব মোড়ে কলেজস্ট্রিট ওয়েলফেয়ার সোসাইটির গেট দিয়ে এগিয়ে গেলেই ডানপাশে চোখে পড়বে আব্দুর রফিকের দোকান। এই ছোট্ট দোকানেই ৫০ বছর ধরে কাজ করছেন তিনি। ৭২ সালের দিকে ঢাকার এলিফেন্ট রোডের একটি ইনস্টিটিউট থেকে ইলেকট্রনিক্সের কাজ শিখেন।
