Most of these aircraft's true capabilities are top secret, and will be continuingly updated. So a lot of the specifications will be speculative at best! Wikipedia is just a public information service that the military throw some figures at!

Well the SU 57s capabilites are hardly top secret, we know fairly well how they are; it ins't stealthy, it's avionics are not modern because Russia don't develop such things and about a 10th of the fleet has already crashed (yes, 1). Putting it ahead of something like a Typhoon or Rafale or even a modern F16 variant is a joke. Completely and utterly. Vid's like this play into the mythology that Russia has these "hand-crafted" prototypes on par with western tech, but ofc not many (yet), for the sake of entertainment. But those of us with industrial experience know the truth in this regard; the ability to produce something like a 5th gen fighter comes only, with emphasis on only,from a large and solid R&D and industrial base with well-established and functional supply chains. Not from some secret mythologized secret Soveit R&D that is somehow supposed to be still "modern", cutting edge and relevant. It isn't.

The absence of Jas 39 E and F is rather surprising since it contains tech that is superior to many of the fighters here. GaN tech in its E warfaire suite, a new structure in its aviation suite that is now being copied by the USA, UK, France and so on for their future fighters, the worlds newest IRST system far superior to any here existing fighters the F 35 excluded, 7 different radar antenas puting its detection in the class of a SU 57, a 360° missile detection capability a computer capability only bested by the F35 and on it goes.

@@ytn00b3 New F16 has a power to weight of 1,1, Jas 39 E has 1,07. Jas 39 E and F16 70 are both mac 2+ fighters. As for the tech in the block 72 it to a larg degree holds the standard of a Jas 39 E. However not all of the tech on Jas is even possible to get on the F16 block 72. You can today buy a Jas 39 C with a GaN radar superior or at least as good as the F16 block 70 radar. To add to this block 70 has an impressive radar that uses tech from the F35 and F22. The IRST on the Jas 39 E and F16 block 72 should have aproximatly the same prestanda. The RCS on the Jas 39 E is lower than the RCS on the F16. The combat range is slightly longer on the F16. It has been stated that the F-16 Block 70 with conformal fuel tanks has a mission radius exceeding 1,700 kilometres (km) in an air-to-air configuration carrying four AMRAAMs, two ASRAAMs and two 370 gallon fuel tanks while the Jas 39 E has a combatrange of 1500 km with four meteor missiles and two IRS-T missiles. Jas 39 E does have a better E-warfare suite based on GaN tech. The Jas Radar has the adwantage of covering more than 200°. This means that the Jas 39 E can turn the side to an enemy and hide in the doppler shadow while guiding the missile. Both have excellent comunication equipment, satellite, directional link 16 and radio givng them comunication with all military and civilian sources of information. Both have by usage of their IRST capability to detect steahlt fighters. Both have fire before lock on weapons and fire at what you can see tech. Both can fire at targets behind them. Jas 39E has a 360° missile detection capacity. I do not know if F16 block 72 have that have not found it. Both have acces to elecronic defence and attack for long range, Jas 39 E can also use decoy missiles agains detected long range missiles, within 5 km they can use their own short range missiles to kill incoming missiles. Jas uses missile the toed decoys (BriteCloud system) and at close range shafts and flairs. The F16 block 72 have similar systems. I would argue that it is harder to down a Jas 39 E than a F16 of any block since it is easier to hide. So in A2A I would choose a Jas 39 E, for ground attack I would choose an F16 if the enemy SAM system is gone. If not I would choose the Jas 39 E.

I am very skeptical that the J-20 is more advanced than the F-22. Even though the 22 is much older, it's stealth is still much more advanced. There is a good chance it's radar and engines are better too. The J-20 uses some tech stolen from the US but it's largely modeled on the Russian 5th gen fighters that appear lower on the list.

I totally agree. The Chinese do not deal in truth, so their jet fighter capabilities are not tested in the real world. The countries that develop their own airframe designs should be the only fighters considered for this list.

J20 is at the same level as base F16. China doesn’t have the technology to make the materials used in the components so it’s assembled in China, made in the USA. But well all the US jets are designed by ethnically Chinese scientists in the US so…

Also, the J20 is more of an interdiction aircraft (aka intercept as quickly as possible, unleash the wad hoping they hit, and return to bingo) while the F22 is an agile stealthy scrappy dogfighter. The J20 doesn't even have a gun and we learn about that from an earlier war.

I agree. Omnirole from the conception when it took three versions of the Eurofighter to have roughly the same capabilities. The Rafale is in its 4th evolution and the 5th is scheduled. The SPECTRA system makes it clearly superior.

While it might have the best radar- and infrared-Stealth performance out of all fighter jets today, the data link capabilitys as well as its situational awarnes are really lacking behind the F-35 or the J-20 due to its outdated computer systhems as well as the missing modern systhems found in more modern Fighter Jets like HMD, DAS or EOTS

So let’s get this right the f 22 rapture which the majority of experts that I’ve ever seen in documentaries on tv discussing the the attributes of all modern fighters all seem to agree is the most stealthiest and the most deadly of em all at present is only good enough for third place on ur list . interesting but probably incorrect by 2 places I reckon

But these vehicles did not participate in real conflicts, where they would have to regularly carry out tasks, while doing something with modern air defense systems. If a jet (with unhardened systems) takes a direct hit with an NEMP than it probably is out of fight entirely. If it knocks out the radar and computer systems, the pilot will be lucky to land it let alone dogfight. Yes, modern stealth fighters keep the ability to fight at close range ....as a contingency. Much like a sniper keeping a sidearm. Thus people speculating on the snipers ability to fight at close range with his sidearm (usually against others snipers with their sidearms) is ridiculous.
