For years this place was known as 'Mushroom Valley'. But the government, in their wisdom and anti drug paranoia, Officially named it 'Goblin Valley'. It is an interesting and magical place that's well worth a visit. I enjoyed your video.

I have great memories of this place. Way back in the mid 70s I spent a couple of days here. Riding my motorcycle through old dried up riverbeds was fantastic fun. Back then there was nobody else around. We didn't see a single person for an entire day.

Hi Glenn & Amy, You all captured some amazing views of GOBLIN VALLEY State Park! I’ve been there, but must have missed two-thirds of it. My husband and I must have just explored Valley #1. This reminds me of one of the scenes in Galaxy Quest where they landed on a planet to grab a beryllium sphere. Sure looks similar! Glenn, you should sing more often. This was a really cool place. Utah never disappoints.

You should check out the Bisti Wilderness area, near Farmington, New Mexico. Another beautiful, sculpted area. With the bonus of some really cool petrified wood. My brother and I spent a day hiking in there, a few years ago.

It's a unique place for sure. The funny thing is when planning for this trip we tried to fit in a visit to Capitol Reef but there was no availability at the campgrounds. One day!

It's sandstone . Rocks are just crystalized dirt at some level.
