Wonderful test. Wonder if you do a range test (eg distance between camera and mini mic transmitter 30 meters and turning your back to the camera) if the sound quality is still the same for all of these cameras?

That is a good question. I not personally tested it, but I have found most Wireless Mics break up when your back is turned away from the receiver or camera receiving the signal. I may do a follow up test to find out!

@TheCameraManReviews understand, but it seems the dji mic mini offers much better quality compared to any other microphone transmitter. Therefore my question.....hope you can perform this praxis test very soon....and maybe for the test, perform a range test at 10 meters and at 30 meters including turning your back to the camera. (This is when most microphones face connection and audio break up issues)

Seems it sounds the same as it does on my insta 360 ace, not very good. Seems to cut out a tad. Sounds better with the Ace Pro 2.

Hey!! Are you able to pair 2 of the mics to the Ace Pro at the same time? Example to do an interview. If not, does the receiver have bluetooth, so can you connect both mics?

@@HARAKmoto Yep that should work, the only limitations would be the distance of the receiver to the second mic which would need to be tested out. I know they have a range of 400meters Line of sight, but if you are in-between as the rider, it will probably reduce this distance down. With the Mics and receiver you can set them to "Separate" mode, so that 1 mic records to the left audio track and the 2nd mic to the right audio track. This means your 2 voices will be recorded totally separately.

That is a great question, If you turn off the Action 5 and turn it back on, it auto pairs with the DJI Mini Mic. Now I am not 100% certain, but I would say as long as both are fully charged then they will pair regardless of the time length as long as you dont pair the mic with another camera.

The camera remembers the latest device paired and tries to reconnect to it. Kind of like if you have Bluetooth headphones with your smart phone, you only pair them once and they auto reconnect every time they are turned on. Hope this helps.

So If you pair the action 5 with mic mini and turn it off. Then if you hit record after 10min, it should automatically turn on and start recording and starts using audio from the mic mini that was in the standby mode right? I am asking this because that would be really usefull for motorcycle riders. Pair once and hide mic somwhere near the engine and then just turn on and off the camera and hope it automatically pulls the audio from the mic. Can you confirm that?
