Same to me... Order the 2021 Maverick X3 XRS MAX TURBO RR with smart shox and seen this (my own piece of bastard) last two weeks at the dealer but have to wait for few upgrades and installing the stuff like roof, windshield with wiper-system, and so on.... The time to wait it's very hard to me, like a child waiting of Santa to Christmas. Here in germany you can order many parts but it needs time to get/got them. That means, mid or end of february will be the best month to me. And the vids of the fabulous CAN AM CREW show me the way for the future gone offroad. Best greetz from far away, from germany.

I know it takes time to record-edit-post these and we appreciate you doing this. Yet another fine video from the can am crew! You said you have 4500 miles on it before doing the maintenance and the manufacturer says 500? What would be a good mileage estimate before removing it for inspection?
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you🤘🏻I would just visually check it every 500 or so til you can see wear, mine had slop in the governor cup because the sliders were so worn and that’s how I could tell. I keep my clutches blown out every couple rides too. The amount of dust that comes out of there is insane.

Cam the bearing being dry be the cause of the shifter not going in trying to fig our it out
@TheCanAmCrew

Most of the time when a shifter is hard is a bent shift fork or the secondary is spinning. It shouldn’t be. A dry or bad bearing can cause this.

how do you know that you get it torqued back on correctly. I've heard it should be around 85 foot pounds. Is there a way to know what your impact will torque it back to?
@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew 2 жыл бұрын
Yes the Primary is 89 ft/lbs and the secondary 54 ft/lbs there is a tool you can hook between the clutches so they don’t move and you can torque them at that point. There is no true way to know for a battery impact but checking them with a torque wrench after and having a friend or two holding the clutch works as well.

@TheCanAmCrew
@TheCanAmCrew 3 жыл бұрын
Some of the signs would be a slight squealing noise like a dry bearing. Other than that it would be normal maintenance everyone 2000 miles or so to replace the slider shoes and grease the bearing. I noticed a lot when riding real dusty areas for a few hundred miles we would get a dry squeal noise and as soon as we blew the clutches out and greased the bearing it went away.

Yes actually I can, your secondary is spinning and it shouldn’t be.. Most commonly happens in the the 2022 and 2023 x3 models but if you have other years it can be this too. Can am will warranty it if you have a 22 or 23. If you have previous years you will need to inspect your primary one way bearing, your belt or secondary for any issues or dirt build up. In the 22 and 23 models they change your primary weights
