I found my poor sweet big brother dead in his bed on 9/11/20. That was the most devastating day of my life. I don’t remember the first few days after. But the Sunday after I put on my brave face and went to clean out his room and get it ready to be emptied. For some reason the moment I opened his door this song came into my head. I hadn’t thought about or heard it in literal years but there it was strong and clear every note and lyric. I burst into tears with the perfection of how exactly it captured what I’m going through. Thanks Cardigans. My brother loved this song when we were teens. We both did.

While this song is pretty good/catchy, in terms of vocal difficulty, it's a pretty easy/basic song to sing, with no drastic pitch changes, or high notes that would make it difficult to sing. Pretty much all vocalists that are considered great, are so because of their vocal range. This is pretty straightforward, basic singing.
@toidIllorTAmI3 жыл бұрын
@@zenpea2684 you can say that about many singers now a days (Clario) but they seem to have more success than this band and it's pretty sad. Now a days it's hard to sing this because of how she sounds and the high notes.

I love the visual fidelity of 90s music videos. Was it one particular camera that was popular around this time? The contrast/colour gives everything an ethereal, dream-like vibe. It's weird, I can never imagine people looking back on 2019 videos in 20 years' time with the same sense of nostalgia

Was in college in the 90's and you are spot on. More forward and back motion almost like swaying. Also use of slight fishbowl effect lenses making a weird whimsical expanded effect. This style was used in a lot of the hip hop videos of that era as well.

This is one of 2 songs of theirs that I've heard of the radio for decades now, but I never knew anything about them or even what they looked like. You know how you have an image of someone in your mind and when you finally see them, you're disappointed? Well this song has been rattling around my head for a couple days now so today I finally decided to check it out on KZbin. I must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. This doll is every bit as beautiful as I thought she'd be. It's just too bad that it took me so long to check them out. After listening to more of their music, I'm impressed! Why did I take so long? I've robbed myself of their awesome music all these years!

Oh dear god no, I remember the 90s and you could not pay me enough to go back to them. Rose tinted spec syndrome is very dangerous. We always tend to remember only the good of the time, and easily forget the bad especially if the bad didn't actually affect us personally. Think of it this way, today is better than then as now you can listen to what you like whenever and however often as you want instead of having to wait for it to be on radio or TV or having to buy the album when you only liked a couple of songs on it. :-)

Nowt wrong with the memories until they start using the rose tinted specs memories to put down others, which I have seen happen in the 80s, 90s and 00s, my mum takes it to the 60s and 70s. I am not saying that Johnny is doing that, that is why I added the part about thinking how today is better given that we can listen to what we want when we want.
