If you have real jewelry or even loved costume pieces, check with a jeweler about having them restyled. When our mom died, my sister and I went through her jewelry and took the pieces that were important to us. I had a number of pieces restyled (stud earrings made into drops, yellow gold pieces dipped in white gold) and they breathed new life into these pieces. Now I look forward to visiting with my mom's memory whenever I put on a piece of her jewelry.

Totally agree with leaving it long enough to pull away from the face. Shorter hair is easier to keep styled but sometimes it's nice to take a break.

I recently found your channel and it has been so incredibly helpful. My minimalism journey started seven years ago and it has been a quite a life changing process. I slowly decluttered my costume jewelry (I had a huge collection) and now have a very small selection of pieces that have sentimental value. I’ve had several life changes and I’m no longer the person I was when I wore all that stuff. I think it’s okay to shed things as we journey towards the person we were meant to become.

Hi Carla, I also decluttered stuff from an old "keep sake" box per say. I had really old paycheck stubs from old jobs and other things that I did need to organize better, like pictures and of course jewelry. You could wear the chunky blingy bracelet with a white t-shirt and jeans. Same for the tassel bracelet, and the pearl earrings. Not together, of course. You like these things, wear them. Change up the shoes and purse, and you have three outfits. : ) Oh, and definitely go for the cut. That'll be cute!

Every season I cut my hair above my shoulders. It’s easier to manage and I use foam rod curlers over night for great curls that last several days. I think short hair will look great on you.

Our pets, especially our pups, must really wonder what on earth we're doing. Like your little stalker, Samson. Yes, Mama walks around our kennel moving things from one spot to another spot - and she does it for ages - just moving this thing to that place and then other things to other places! Doesn't seem to have any rhyme for reason. I think it might be some form of magic 😊

I have that same jewelry hanger and it has taken me 3 years to get it down to 12 items. Mostly larger things that don’t fit in my jewelry box. I think the items you are on the fence with would look good for vacation looks. Like that charm type bracelet with a simple white dress for your next island trip. Or even the pearl earrings would work with a linen outfit and your straw hat. The silver braided bracelet could also work for evening keep it it’s really pretty. I have a wood necklace I like to wear in summer since it’s so hot here in the desert 🏜 it doesn’t absorb heat, and a cuff type bracelet I wear with a specific linen dress. So things I don’t wear everyday but I wear them. I’m going shoulder length on my next haircut, it just works wells for me time wise and style wise. I feel more polished and neat. My hair is a lot like a worn out Brillo pad since it’s curly. But shoulder length for me forces me to blow dry it and put some effort into my look and not just pony tail it everyday. I finished my decluttering and now I am putting my energy into a big project at home that will take some planning. I feel really good about my space & my belongings right now. Yes! Keep it simple and have structure. Three meals a day. I don’t snack. My safe zones when I travel are places like chipotle el Pollo Loco, Whole Foods or anywhere I can get a salad. My hotel had a complimentary breakfast in the mornings. I would have an apple, scrambled egg and a piece of sausage with my coffee. skipped the waffle bar and bagels..just like I do at home💖💖

Magnesium calm in watermelon flavor on ice with lemon squeezed in is amazing and good for sipping in the day! I also do vitamin water zero , zero sugar ginger beer, decaf espresso drinks, almond milk with cacao powder and stevia warmed at night is another I used to have but sensitive to cocoa. 💖
