I can totaly relate to the not unpacking thing. Whenever I return from a trip and didn't unpack immeadietly, there is high chance that I won't do this for weeks, stuff will continue to pile up until cleaning floor would be impossible... I also love it every time when someone shows that you need to make more mess to have it clean in the end. My mother [who never did a deep clean] used to argue with little me, that I am making bigger mess, when she told me to clean [even tough it was part of the cleaning]

Great work Carla- looks fab! Just an idea but is it worth reducing your inventory further so you find it easier to keep things tidy? Eg fewer glasses , pans and bowls in the kitchen so dishes can’t pile up. You could even ditch the clothes rack in your bedroom and just use your walk in wardrobe. Just a suggestion. Great cleaning!

I don’t know hmmm. Maybe. I do think I have a very low clutter threshold because I just don’t like to manage much and can easily get overwhelmed. But I don’t think the solution is decluttering more I think because I have moved out pieces of furniture that I haven’t replaced. There are a lot of unhoused items that need a place to live and some other changes I need to put in place that will make it easier for me to keep it tidy. I’ll keep sharing my journey, though. I have a plan I just have to put it in action❤️

Id take off the headboard, move the bed and use that gorgeous window as my headboard. Tables on each side. I love the music you chose. Too bad you cant cut out the grout in kitchen with a multitool and regrout with same color as tile. I love your apartment.

Carla, I know you were tired after all of this. We went out of town for one day and I like to clean before I go so all I have to do is laundry when I get home. I bought that Bissel spot clean pro pet thing to clean my off white sofa. It’s the purple and grey one. Girl…it didn’t take long but I did that, and 5 loads of laundry walking up and down stairs, and cleaned the bathroom and decluttered the kitchen for the hundredth time. I was tired for two days after we got back…zombie tired, like don’t knock on my door or call me tired. But it sure felt good to come to a clean home 💖. P.S. I tried to remember to let all the ads play all the way through when I watched today. I want you to get paid momma. 🫶🏼 😊

Chronic pain -in my case migraines - means there are many days where I can’t move let alone clean. Be yes in theory it’s easier to clean every day exercise regularly and eat less 🙃

I don’t know it just makes sense in my brain. I always pick up the floor first put things into bags or baskets when my place gets super messy like that and then I just sort through those items from a clear workspace like the bed the sofa, the coffee table. Otherwise, I think it can get overwhelming trying to sort through things from the floor when the whole space is a mess like that💗 thanks for that question!!
