That's the joys of the bench/bed design over RNR or RIB 👍🏻 I am even thinking of building a pod or some over head cabinets later this year

Thanks for the video Vikki. I Think I need more jackets in the van then I'll have no problem filling the cubes. Great piece of kit and so much easier than one large ruck sack
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK7 жыл бұрын
No worries :) My fiance's been filling his cubes the moment he gets home, ready for our next trip if that helps. I don't have enough clothes for that lol
@paulhewitt19787 жыл бұрын
I've got plenty of clothes, but nothing suitable for camping ! Now the bed is built I've got tons of space so just need to fill it !

Sounds like you're one lucky man with lots of space! :)

Great vid Vikkie. It made us laugh, the Fiancee and I and our 13 yr old. Your weekend away reflects our typical weekend at home, pizza on a Sat night, followed by a car boot on a Sunday morning!! 😂 Could be a nichè market, carboot vlogging in a camper van around the country - quite catchy aswell!!
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK7 жыл бұрын
Glad to hear you all had a giggle +Stu Gardener :) yes, bet car boots and camping would take off. In fact, it sounds rather catchy :) I did exactly the same thing, growing up in fact! Mum and Dad took me and my brother to the car boot every Sunday and the Doncaster racecourse. You just never know what you might find. Good luck with the wine entry!

Great vlog. I've got a question. What the size of your rock and roll bed? I've got 109cdi but have chipped the engine more torque and more horsepower and less fuel consumption

love your updates... love to know more about your camper electrics as I'm just doing mine. Current stumbling block is how to secure safety the leisure battery under the drivers seat. suggestions welcome. Happy camping..

Great vlog, Vikkie. Doniford Bay is beautiful and not nearly the tourist trap of some other nearby beaches. I think there's a waterfall there... Did you find it? Watchet is also an interesting place.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK7 жыл бұрын
Thanks +Olly Parry-Jones :) Doniford Bay is one of our favourite little quiet spots to go. That's why I didn't really talk about it much... it'd be a shame to not get a parking space one day lol. We randomly found it one night a few years ago when we broke down in our Bongo and we've been a few times since. I can't remember a waterfall from previous walks but we always insist pointing out Kevin Mcclouds man made hut every time we go.
@OllyParryJones7 жыл бұрын
My mistake. The waterfall is at St. Audrie's Bay which is just east of Helwell Bay and Donford. There are actually two waterfalls, as I recall but one is certainly more impressive than the other. A tip for next time. ;-) See, I've heard that Kevin McCloud's eco house/hut is in the area but I've not actually seen or found it.

+Olly Parry-Jones after speaking to a local a year or two ago, apparently it's been dismantled and was on the council's storage and they'd been emailing the production company to see if they still wanted it as it was taking up a lot of space. But I'm sure a lot of it were Chinese whispers by the time it reached us. I'll try and find our old video where we point it out. It's right at the end of a static caravan site so public couldn't access is. Well be looking for Helwell Bay next :)

Nice, We stayed at the Hoburne Blue Anchor and went to the Smugglers Inn (best cider I have ever had).

That must've been to the side of us or behind! We were right next door to that pub too! Lovely and surprisingly quiet place... shame we never tried the cider! Always next time, I suppose!

I don't know what it is... it may be your attention to the little details , the trimmings...... but your videos do have a certain Hyacinth Bucket vibe about them.

Exactly, it has happened. Case in point - you recieve urgent call, one of your kin has been in a serious accident, panic at the camp site, everything thrown in or disconnect, dog under van, out of site, out of mind ...
