Thank you for these plans and tutorial. I can't put bird feeders on my trees because I have 8 cats but I still wanted to feed the birds. So I'm building one and put it very high on a wall where cats could never reach.

I like the waggling finger. My wife does that when l do something wrong. Seriously, loved the table and the joy it gave everyone. I think l will make one of these for my mum.

This is a nice looking project. I think that your cousin is going to enjoy watching the birds and keeping the stand restocked. Thanks for sharing this one.

I hope so! I know I got addicted when I made myself one earlier in the year 😆 The birds seem to have disappeared though now for winter.

How brilliant. I just searched for bird feeding tables as a project for my children incl my special needs little boy and your video popped up. Love what you did for your cousin ❤️. Its so great you got your dad to guide you. I love woodwork and omg would love a wood working studio with kit and show my kids anything is possible. They already think I am a wood addict lol. Thanks for your plans. Yours is a bit of a bird palace compared to what we will end up with lol. Great video thank you 😊

Glad you enjoyed it! 😀 I've been told he's still loving it. I do have a much simpler one going LIVE this week with a planter as the base if that helps!

Great video! I will download and try this design. Thanks. Last year I had to build a new fence. I got a pallet of cedar pickets and because I did not go thru them all prior to delivery, I ended with many boards that were not aesthetically pleasing for the fence, so I used all these boards and made bird houses.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK3 жыл бұрын
They would be perfect for that! 😊 Hope you find the plans useful 👌 I'm tempted to go through my own offcuts too to see if I can make more 😆

I recently scratch built a 14'x5' bespoke shed, a scratch built pergola, with picket fence, and a very large bird table, again scratch built, all without yt videos. And I am no carpenter, its all about how you apply yourself to the job.

Hi Vikkie lovely job by you & Joel I'm pretty sure he's going to really enjoy topping up the feed and watching the birds with his friends. I did one of these for my Alfie but he bangs on the window and scares the birds away 🐦😂😊

Absolutely fabulous Vikkie, bless your cousin Joel hope he enjoys it, and hopefully it doesn’t encourage mice and squirrels 🐿 lol You’re all heart making it for them to enjoy, I’m sure they will love it everyday watching and refilling the table, I spend about £15 a fortnight on my bird feeders keep up the good work Vikkie thanks for sharing

Wow... someone did tell me it's dearer than dog food!! I'm sure they'll end up enjoying watching squirrels too, but it they become a nuisance, I may end up returning to add nets etc as a Part 2 lol

@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK I do have 17 feeders on like a washing line, fat balls, suet pellets, suet blocks, seeds, suet rolls The rolls go in a day there’re £1, suet pellets 12kg box go though 1 a month, lovely seeing all the birds though even getting Robbins already, blue t*ts, green t*ts (censored saves going to your questionable folder) and have a jet black pigeon visit 😀 and the odd sparrow hawk looking for prey

Ha... it still landed in my censored comments 😆😆

Do they still get eaten in the winter? The starlings, for example, have disappeared around here now.
@wisher21uk3 жыл бұрын
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK probably more so as the ground is solid or frozen, we still get the hardy Robbins, Sparrows, thrushes and the T*Ts normally, all year round really busy in the mornings and evenings with like 20 starlings at least, they bully the other birds...I’m in South Shields (Newcastle) btw

This video and your other on suet feeding station,is ideal this time of year ,for all to build,bany scrap wood or even pallet wood , what with prices of timber, our birds are in decline and need a lift, untill we lift laws on bringing back culling of predators like magpies,band crows. Which we had before we joined the common market ,eu.bthanks for videos and how to build tables mine got netting around with holes to only let smaller birds in, and out.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately I'm not getting many birds in our garden atm. But that may be because we've changed the position of it. Hope they've all gone to Joel's instead 😝 I quite fancy making one for the floor with a mesh around it, so no predators can get in :)

Hi there quick question, If I was to paint my bird feeder white before assembling it, which form of glue would I use during assembling it, Wood glue still ? or another type ??, Thank you.
@TheCarpentersDaughterUK2 жыл бұрын
I'd go with a weatherproof one. I've often used Gorilla Glue or Wickes' own brand. Some swear by Titebond but have only used their regular one.
@JIMMIX72 жыл бұрын
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK Thanks for your reply, I already use a waterproof glue, (Gorilla Wood Glue), but because the joining faces of some of the wood will be painted I wasn't sure if wood glue would be useless to use :-(
