Hello, its Bekah and welcome to a calming afternoon of gardening and cooking here at our little farmhouse on the northern plains of Iowa. It's really nice to see you again and hoping all is well. I’m getting ready to plant small sugar pumpkins….I’m very late this year, but hopefully they’ll be ready by Thanksgiving so I can make homemade pumpkin pies. I’m really looking forward to autumn right now, let me know if you are too…buts it is nice to savor these final days of summer as well. And for dinner tonight I'm making fresh pesto from all of our basil that’s growing in our garden. So, as always I’m really glad you’ve stopped by for a visit here at my home, The Carriage House

Such a green garden! I’m in AZ and I’m starting to get peppers, my shallots were ready but my tomatoes are once again just slow! This heat and altitude make it a little challenging! I got so tired of being worn out from summer, I went and decorated for fall! The amount of joy and energy I got from it was well worth it despite, I know, being really early! Summer always drains me and just decorating for cooler temps just gives me so much happiness!!! ❤ thank you for the lovely video as always!!

So thankful you are here again. Bekah, the garden is absolutely to die for. Our's pooped out early this year and I believe we've gotten 1 tomato. They always say the best time to garden in Texas is in the fall. Who knows for sure? The pesto looked delish. I noticed you used almonds instead of pine nuts. I have basil growing out of my ears and I have tons of almonds, so good to know. I've started fall this weekend with the pumpkin candles going and the diffusers misting the air with fall scents, lol. Morning Bekah! I have planted my pumpkins and some of them are about the size of a golf ball. I really can't see how many I have until they get a little bigger, but for my small area, I usually get about 6-7 jack o lanterns. I'm so looking forward to fall. We’ve harvested our pumpkins already. I’ve canned 45 quarts. We still have a few coming in. I think we we’re a bit over zealous. I’m so happy to see your beautiful face. I hope you are feeling much better. You are such a blessing. ♥️

Your garden is amazing!!! I put out a small back yard garden this year. It's kept me busy enough..lol Yum on the creamy pesto, that looks delish! I love anything with pasta! Hi Bekah. I haven't used matches in decades. Only lighters, and I have one of the lighters like yours. I don't like the smell of a match, so that's why I don't use them.
