Despite the Russian stereotype, I insist they should’ve kept this bad boy in the movie. Perhaps Miles fit better for the type of story they wanted to tell with Mater, from what I’ve seen in the audio commentary, but a more interesting looking villain wouldn’t hurt. Alongside Mitch Hauler, the absolute best and most ambitious custom you’ve done. Congratulations, Shifter! You 🪨!

I really have DIP Models to thank for the great basis of the ZIS 112, I had to completely revamp it though and sculpt the windshield and windows myself. Thanks again!

this time custom is the most amazing thing to us! as usual, Zil was scrapped villain in Cars 2 and Mattel and Disney Store wasn’t made his diecast, but I thought Mr. Shifter did make it😊 I look forward to your reviews of the Mattel sized version and Giulia in next!

The DIP model of the ZIS 112/1 is a very beautiful looking model, but it is actually a resin cast body and base. I know, as I own one. An excellent resin casting, it looks like it’s made of metal. It would be easy for an experienced resin caster to make a copy of it. It may even be simpler, as the interior, dash and steering wheel could be eliminated. I’d like to make one, though would like it to be in the same 1:55 scale as the rest of the CARS diecast. Love all your work!

@@sirinkaplan2339 They are in good shape still, although some diecasts, particularly from my Cars 1 final race remake, received some wear and tear due to the intensity of the filming. You can buy new ones if you wish! :)

I've had almost too much Zil in my life from making two of him, ha, but I used a ZIS 112 diecast from DIP models and sculpted the top with ovenbake clay, finishing it off with black spray paint and clear coat. Thanks for watching!

The ZIS 112 was known for its bulky 20ft chassis, but I agree I wish the model was slightly shorter. Sadly, nothing I could do about it because cutting it in half would ruin it beyond repair. Thanks for watching!
