I agree with you! But I'll add to it. Why is it when teams cut players in the middle of contracts or do what they think is best for their franchise it's never deemed selfish?? He attended ALL off-season programs including training camp. He was BALLING this year. He was on a 1 year deal and probably would've gotten a decent contract, but now he's back on the bench???? I don't blame the 9ers for going with Greenlaw, he's one of their core players. But it makes no sense to call him selfish when yall just proved yall don't value him!! Look at the locker room response! Clearly he was a outsider! If the 9ers had let Campbell start and Greenlaw walked off, would everyone call him selfish??? I think we all know the answer to that. Kudos to Campbell for standing on what he believed in!!!

You can plays devils advocate, it's your perspective but it's not HONORABLE to do what he did and in the end, he will come to regret it. Teams will think twice before signing him if they bother to consider him at all. Antonio Brown never played in the NFL again after his PUBLIC stunt and I think Campbell has done that to himself.

But he is right and sometimes we forget about certain events that are tragic to the players and we(I) expect them to get out there like men and perform their duties like men should do, not realizing the enormous pressure and crazy emotional depletion that has taken place off the field. Not a good year for the 49ers organization at all. Chardarius Ward child dying. Ricky Pearsall gets shot and almost dies. Trent Williams's child terminally ill. CMC( Chrstian McCaffery) have calf issues that required for him to go to Germany for treatment. With all this, a team's morale is weaken and devastated. They are fighting against "a series of unfortunate event." Like a "Flu" you keep supplying the body with aspirin every 4 hours, drinking Orange juice for vitamin C, sleep and relaxation and finally the flu leave or is over.....the 49ers have to play their last 3 games....and immediately address their problems and issues off the field and hopefully recover. Lots of questions should be addressed: Brock Purdy's contract(which is not going to be an issue), Deebo Samuel. Trent Williams. De Vondre Campbell. Kyle Shanahan. John Lynch. DC. OC. Special Teams Coach. Injuries.Do they choose a first round QB to replace Brock or do they draft DE. Many questions because this team is a mess and it all falls on Kyle's shoulder because He is the head coach!
