Kanwar Yatra Controversy

In this podcast, Kushal speaks with Tushar Gupta about the Uttar Pradesh government's directive that instructed all food establishments to display their owner's names in all the food shops on the Kanwar Yatra route. In an interim order on Monday, the Supreme Court blocked Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand's directives. However, these establishments must indicate the type of food being sold. The Court was addressing multiple petitions, including one from the NGO Association of Protection of Civil Rights (APCR), challenging the directives.

Also instead of doing this nameplate thing. He should've funded for stalls which serves food to the Yatris . Just like the local government served prashad during Ram mandir celebrations. Also these guys are going for shiva. Who himself was free from worldly desires . Birth and death ,good or bad . These guys are walking with trucks with music systems and not one of those trucks is for serving them Satvik food. Like I said shiva is free from all desires . I want to mention an incident i witnessed couple of months ago . I live in Bangalore IT capital of India and was buying Fish in a local meat shop which is run by Hindus . A muslim women was standing beside me and wanted to buy Mutton and she asked Vendor whether its Halal or not and he promptly showed his Halal certificate hanging right beside the local deity picture. And she was concerned that it was not written on the Board and she said to Vendor if ur Halal Certified then you should display it in board. The Vendor was prompt in his response and said its not written in any of our rules that we have to mention Halal in our boards but we do have the certificate and displayed it inside our shop . Now look at the same group of people who dont want to display their own name.😂

In this scenario it's not about supply and demand. The kanwadiya yatra I think predates Sikhism. The Sikhs have developed infrastructure and their culture and the Kanwadiya havent done anything in that yatra corridor. Even in Holla moholla (the Holy of Warrior). The meals are arranged on a City scale. And people come with rations and serve food in a very transparent structure. Also the Kanwadiya yatra is for Shiva (a person/deity/Reality) who is free from all dharma adharma , right and wrong, form color jati varna and gender, kama lobh and moh. And you are walking towards him to be one with him. And you are do hell bent on taste(kama/desire of taste) of A Satvik Kulcha chola samosa and poha. Instead of a Satvik Langer. KM sorry friend you're not on a path of Moksha.

@@RD-ol5ry I think you did not follow this controversy.For example :My name is Tanmay Joshi and I am running a dhaba name Indian Shudh Dhaba which serves pure veg. As per the new order I have to not just write the legal name "Indian Shudh Dhaba" but also write my name so that people can take into consideration my religion and caste and then decide whether to eat or not. The whole point of this podcast is that kanwari should get pure veg food which they will get on the route. Supreme court clearly stated that only food type and menu should be displayed for kanwari to decide.And why owner of the shop be even a criteria. The point of displaying my name is revealing my religious and caste identity. Our constitution allows us to even change ur name to avoid any form of identity discrimination that is why people use surnames like Kumar,Prasad. This order in my opinion is against Right to livelihood,Right to Equality and also promotes untouchability and should be revoked immediately. Let's wait for final SC Judgement

Yeh 30:57 pe jo bol rahe hai, uske relation main. Maharashtra main Ekadashi ke time Pandharpur yatra har saal nikalti hai. Waha yeh devotees hi apna khana khud banate hai aur dusre devotees ko serve karte hai. Everything is done in front of everyone's eyes. Aur yeh bhi same time main rehti hai, rainy season, woh bhi Maharashtra ka. I agree with his proposal for a bhandara kind of a thing for this issue. Also, in this case, can these people go to the consumer court? For falsifying the claims made by the restaurants, if they are caught? And why is it always just one part of the society that refuses to co-operate whether for Aadhar card, name display, census? Tab koi kuch nahi bolta. No one questions about Muslims not choosing places that don't serve Halal food. Tab kisi shop ko discrimination nahi hoti. Consumer has the right to choose whatever he wants, just that the claims made by the product or service he is consuming should be 100% true.

Just include the names of establishments as Pure Veg /non-veg.But when you talk about a simple fruit shop, and the diktat of including names on them, the UP govt is basically indirectly encouraging the practice of boycotting non-hindu shops which i m sorry to say is not a religious freedom but blatant discrimination in eyes if Constitution. If by Tushar's argument that, most hindus follow secular values, which I agree with, then the names of shop owners wouldnt matter at all. Then why the diktat at all? The reason is some videos leaked of people licking or urinating on fruits. Sometimes hose fruits are taken to temples as an offering. There is an issue with that from what little I have read about it so far.

It started with Muzaffarnagar, bcoz some videos surfaced from there of shop sellers licking fruits and spitting in other vegetarian foods, last year or a couple years ago. And it was done by Jihadi minded individuals, just like what happened during Covid. So, this year rule started from Muzaffarnagar, now it has caught fire everywhere. Now, kawar of other states are also demanding that apparantly and honestly I understand their apprehension after being subjected to such disgusting behaviour. Also, this order is only as discriminatory as entire system of Halal food is- it specifically only involves Muslims in most part of production process, otherwise it won't be halal anymore. So, it technically either both should shut down or neither. Bcoz Hindus have the right to self determine what food they should eat just like Muslims.

The problem was that there are many instances from last few years where many eateries with hindu names were owned by muslims to confuse people and there were many videos where they were spitting on foods and other such disgusting incidents. These incidents are not from U.P alone but it is happening in all other states also. Even this type of things is done by Pakistanis and bangladeshis in foreign countries where they show themselves as indian by displaying indian names. The government should have done better by saying owners to display their name irrespective of routes of kanwar.
