@@mphomalgas8704 yes they were , things like this have happened several times in Hollywood and half of the time they were given a second chance , especially since this was 5-7 years ago and people can change in that time frame and not hold those same ideals . For example , in the mid 2000’s to mid 2010’s there were comedians always saying sexist and racist things . It was the thing of that time , everyone made jokes like that . And when everyone got called out on it now , most of them didn’t get canceled . Cancel culture is horrible when it comes to this . Just cuz u said stupid jokes years ago , shouldn’t affect u and ruin ur career and life now . Everyone has made mistakes and said things before . But c'mon it was like 8 years ago people change as repeatedly shown by characters in the Flash that's not why I am writing this comment this comment is mainly to address the fact that this channel never actually mentioned the tweets were from the past. Me and my sister had a conversation about Hartley getting fired a few days ago and she watched this video later on, she really thought Hartley sent those tweets out recently which made her hate him. The ignorance of addressing the time period affects his reputation and his career not only as a Flash actor but his whole entire life. Yes the screen shots of the tweets did show the time stamp. "Hartley will not be returning in season 7 AFTER his offensive tweets". This isn't a comment to hate on the channel but just to show how important it is to adress these small things which matter

@@thewrightone No. From a show that is supposedly teaching second chances, and being understanding, they’re not doing that at all in this instance. He even admitted that what he did was wrong, and regrets what he said. But those are from eight years ago, when he didn’t even have his name even close to being out there. Adults change over time, just like kids do. It’s just if and when you mature. He clearly hasn’t said anything like that in the last eight years, up until those tweets. So I think it’s very unfair with how they’re dealing with it. We’ve all said stuff in our life that we regret. How to be held to that, and have to live the rest of your life without even if you’ve matured and change for the better, is unfair.
@CeCelia19783 жыл бұрын
Doesnt matter if he changed. He should have never posted those things to begin with.
@theloganbush3 жыл бұрын
@@CeCelia1978 I would agree with you, but you’re telling me in your lifetime, you never said something you regretted? Never some thing you wish you could take back? We’re humans, we all make mistakes, especially when were younger and want attention. It’s been eight years, and he does probably regret saying those things, to hold it against them would be pretty unfair. Just like if you’re 24, you could have your Masters degree and be on your way to having a really good job, but eight years ago, you were a sophomore in high school. I guarantee you, most people are not the same person they were in high school, as they are eight years later. There’s no doubt we’ve all said stuff that we were great, and a treat him any differently just because he’s an actor, is unfair.
@theloganbush3 жыл бұрын
@@CeCelia1978 for example, based off your profile picture, I would say you are probably no older than 25. You’re probably even closer to 20. Which means eight years ago, you could’ve been anywhere from 12 to 17. You’re telling me not once in that five-year span did you say something or do something that you fully regret? If that’s the case, you must have a perfect life, and you’re probably the only one. But more than likely, you did do something or say something that you regret it. Have a good person would Understand that more than likely you’ve changed from the person you were eight years ago. Hardly even came out with an apology and no one took it seriously. These tweets are the first thing people are giving him flack about, so there really isn’t a reason to trust his apology and take it sincerely.

Shantel (Patty Spivot) should and was just a quick intrigue character to develop a divergent storyline. Just like every other show. Same as a 1-4 episode character is used. She would not have been a good Iris. Glad she had other opportunities, nothing against her personally. All the core characters are perfect.

There is a difference between slim shaming and calling out bad costume design. The recent Suits are bland and spandexy. The bicycle helmet makes him look like a bobblehead. I'm fat, blonde and pale as fuck. You don't see me running around in tight white shorts and a bright yellow vneck.

Nobody was actually slim shaming grant, it was more of shaming him for not looking like the flash. Example, you're not gonna put a 300 pound man as superman right? Cause that's not what superman looks like, so vice versa for the flash

How you going to ask Captain Cold to pick between two roles when he's barely a side characters in Flash? CW, or whoever runs it, sound like a bunch of petty children. -Fire someone for something they did 10 years ago. -Eject someone from the show because they're working on two projects. -Sack someone from the show because they also want to work on both projects, where he's barely a side character on the Flash anyway.

I understand that people are upset that Hartley got fired but you have to understand that if the CW left him on, it would have a huge negative impact on the whole outlook of it. There were tweets about abuse and racism and when you have multiple female and people of color working on the show, it looks bad if he's just kept on. Hartley was a good actor but acting is a JOB. Most people get fired from their job when their boss finds vids of them drunk from 5 years ago. Please stop complaining about Hartley, it's just annoying at this point
