In he 90’s I was a catechist and all the catechists in our church got a copy of the new catechism of the Catholic Church. I looked at it and then put it on the book shelf. About 5 years ago , my husband and I were downsizing and my husband picked up the catechism and said to me “ Are you ever going to read this book?” I said no, and we donated it along with others. Since I went through the Bible in the year with you, Father Mike, and when I heard you were going to do the Catechism in the yeah I knew it was going to be insightful. Now I wake up early and can’t wait for the next episode. I got up at 3am this morning and had to wait until 4 am to listen to this episode. Thank you Father Mike forgetting mr so excited about learning so much about my faith. I thank God for you.

What you said about God moving first in prayer really hit me today. The moment that really initiated my return to faith from over a decade of disenfranchised lapse that started in my teens was a prayer that was swiftly and definitively answered. At the time and until today I was never sure just what compelled me to make that prayer that day as at that time I was still in lapse and doubt. Now I know that i was God who compelled me to pray as much as it was God who answered my prayer and I feel even more blessed. Something else I thought of at mass this morning. When I knelt to pray before mass started I simply thought "I love you God" and it struck me that as much as we should revere, and to a healthy degree fear, God we should above all love God and my gut tells me too few people simply pray "I love you God" at all let alone enough. So if you're reading this I invite you to do so. Thank you.

God hears our prayers unless we are in mortal sin. Mortal sin takes us away from God. This is why it is so crucial that WE GO TO CONFESSION whenever we fall into MORTAL sin. 🙏🙏🙏 I love listening to Dr Brant J. Pitre. HE IS AMAZING & EASY TO LISTEN TOO. Another really good teacher & priest is Fr Ripperger. :)
@amorchristiinternational1040 Жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right. We are supposed to frequent the Sacrament of Confession.
@sarahtisdel1 Жыл бұрын
This is not true. The Catechism of the Council of Trent succinctly explains the prayer of sinners: “Another degree of prayer is that of those who are weighed down by the guilt of mortal sin, but who strive, with what is called dead faith, to raise themselves from their condition and to ascend to God. But, in consequence of their languid state and the extreme weakness of their faith, they cannot raise themselves from the earth. Recognising their crimes and stung with remorse of conscience, they bow themselves down with humility, and, far as they are removed from God, implore of Him with penitential sorrow, the pardon of their sins and the peace of reconciliation. The prayers of such persons are not rejected by God, but are heard by Him. Nay, in His mercy, He generously invites such as these to have recourse to Him, saying: Come to me, all you that labour, and are heavily laden, and I will refresh you, of this class was the publican, who, though he did not dare to raise his eyes towards heaven, left the Temple, as (our Lord) declares, more justified than the Pharisee.” You can see that it says the prayers of a sinner are not rejected by God and are heard by Him. Of course, one should seek confession if they are in mortal sin, but we should not suggest that when they pray to God that He cannot hear them.
@sarahtisdel1 Жыл бұрын
@@amorchristiinternational1040 Though we should seek confession often, especially if we find ourselves in mortal sin, God can still hear your prayers. Refer to my other reply on this thread.

THE ANGEL OF FATIMA REPARATION PRAYER Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore You profoundly, and I offer You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. And by the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

I had once wrote on this. I wrote about the VM womb is our spirit; or the thinking processes; - the womb. We have to feed our womb; to make the baby healthy. Negativity is not food for our thinking processes; or baby Jesus as the Host; because: we are likened to the little Mary. In Day 147 talking with K B; the thread: For the intentions of the entire CIY. I left a link on her link: the subject of - how mass is spiritual; and to not just sit there. Fr Mike said: if we eat the Host; we become little Maries. Jesus is inside of us. Don't look at the fact; that you served all your life; and saw the same routine; until now you are old and grey headed: beauty is not from outward; but from within; and that is the beauty of - how you have been renewed; like the eagle; who renews its strength at old age. We are eagles and we will soar with the Holy Ghost dove; who leads the way; TO THE PROMISED LAND. As the lesson teaches; every Bible story is a symbol of the NT. We have to fight off the Philistines out of our self-destructive ways; in order to have the spirit flow with milk and honey for baby Jesus. Amen.

@@MorreHope Beautiful insight! I am in peace as each new aliment occurs as I can use it united to Jesus as a sacrifice for sinners. As far as beauty because of my aliments I cannot wear makeup, jewelry, and must wear very loose clothes so they do not touch my skin. I am happy and thankful for each new day God chooses for me to have. ❤🙏

The Sacraments may not be magical but they are definitely miraculous. We may gaze deeply toward the transubstantial elevation seeking to see a Eucharistic miracle but miss there is always a miracle taking place and yet not just at the Eucharist but in every Sacrament there is a miracle or even a plethora of miracles taking place. The Holy Spirit provides us to live in the life of Christ in such a manner to share in the divine life. It's a miracle of miracles and what Jesus makes possible the Holy Spirit makes actual. The parallels of Judaism and Christianity are not just parallels but like those old telescoping radio antennas or antenni, whatever the word is. It's similar to the judgements in the book of Revelation: the seventh seal segues into the trumpet judgements and the seventh trumpet segues into the bowl judgements, if my memory serves, but the Jewish, Hebrew liturgy segues to the Christian liturgy as revealed through Jesus the Christ.

May 28, 2023 Please pray for Souls in Purgatory. Go ahead, just take about 30 seconds to help save a soul that maybe is your family member or friend! Go forth and help save! Here is the prayer: (According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory.) The Prayer of St. Gertrude Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. God would reply to St. Gertrude that He would use whatever was offered to Him for the faithful departed, according to His inclination to show pardon & mercy.
