Rumours and perceptions, opinions and thoughts! Bag of lies! John Actie is the perfect example of never judging books by there cover. Yes he was a big bloke and a bit of a handful in his day. But this man has a heart of gold, and is not a Murderer. Thank you John! RIP. Lynette White RIP. Ronnie Actie Rip. Yusef Abdullahi Stay Central

Cassa B, we being 3 white guys use to go down there the odd nights never any problems, its great to watch this interveiw and hear the point of veiw from John, not being a Cardiff boy myself, I listened over the years about people talking about "The Acties" personally I didnt know any of them, but after seeing the documentary recently, you could see how much of a stich up it was. Great interveiw John, its been a please to watch.

Nice piece, lads. You need to get your ears around the Shreds podcast series on BBC Sounds now. If you think the TV docco blew your mind then the podcast series is something else again. Ceri Jackson should be winning awards for what she's done. Keep on, keeping on John.

Great Podcast John Actie is a legend. The biggest miss carriages of Justice in the UK John needs to continue to tell his story and we must never forget how corrupt to its core South Wales were and still are. The fact that those detectives still live amongst us is a disgrace, the fact they still receive their pensions is an utter disgrace and we should all continue to expose these disgusting humans. John Actie and all the Cardiff 5 that are still alive keep fighting men your legacy must never be forgotten ❤

These kind of things will always happen but hopefully will be fewer. It is not isolated to South Wales Police, all police forces have bad 'un's in them, having said that Mr Actie comes across as a very humble man who seems to have managed to exorcise a lot of his demons after his horrific experiences. Takes a big man to put into the public domain what he has been forced to go through and the interview is very sympathetically structured to draw out the information without pressuring him into talking about stuff he is reluctant to talk about. Well done lads I really enjoyed hearing his story and I hope more people see this and think about the society we have created and how it always favours the ones in power.

It's crazy to hear him mention Llanrumney because my Nan told it the exact same way. She was from the part of the Docks that got demolished to build Louden Square and she told me that bit by bit everyone was just shipped off to the edge of the city and their beautiful community vanished. She was a proud Docks girl her entire life.

If you really are serious about being a 'Voice' through adversity why not highlight the case of Eddie Browning or Philip "Pip" Howard both victims of South Wales Policing . Not all victims of injustice are the basis of racism or colour, John Actie wasn't an angel, neither was Eddie, or Pip, but they didn't deserve that, not at all !!
