Willy Rey was a Dutch-Canadian model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its February 1971 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli. When she was six years old, her family moved from the Netherlands to Canada. Willie died a short time after her appearance on this show. She overdosed on barbiturates (sleeping pills) She was 24 years old. So damn sad 😢

Dawson had been in the US for about 10 years in 1972, but his vocabulary still went full-British now and then -- like when he asks whether the Playboy model's picture is "on a hoarding?" That is in fact the British term for a billboard. Also, what a delight to hear Kaye Ballard playing flute!

I just read that Willy Rey died of an overdose of barbiturates (sleeping pills) in Vancouver on 13 August 1973. She was 23 years old.
