There’s so much I love about this song, all the references woven into the lyrics, instead of just having the titles (like Sonic Youth, not saying that’s bad tho), all the little motifs from Live and Learn like on the line, Gotta take it slow sounding like yeh yeh yeh yeh yeh. But the most impressive thing is how they were able to recreate the Crush 40 sound, I’ve never heard anyone recreate it so accurately without sounding too edgy or too much like metal, it hits the perfect balance

Now that the full video is out, I have a chance to say a huge THANK YOU again to all the guys from the artistic team mentioned in credits in the end of the video and in the description. Honestly I've never ever dreamt of having so many skilled and talented people involved, not speaking of the outstanding MUSIC of course!! I'm really proud of what we came up with and I can't wait for more music projects from the Chalkeaters team, just as you guys :) The second thing I'm proud of is this amazing community and how my work of including so many references in it paid off (which compliments the cunning references in the lyrics made by Alios, I laughed at them at least as hard as Johnny did believe me), because you were able to notice so so many! Of course the toughest ones are still there, but wow. It really makes me motivated to make even more secret messages and easter eggs hidden in future videos just for you guys, hehe I've been listening to "What I'm Made Of" by Crush40 today again, and now comparing what the musicians alongside with Johnny did feels so... close. @@thisusernameisalreadytaken5132 Yeah, that absolutely is Clip Studio Paint. You can look up some videos of people animating inside CSP from YT tutorials and the UI is identical. Cool thing about CSP is that is has pretty great community support, it's not subscription based and it's pretty affordable (especially when it's 50% off, which happens pretty often). The pixel art software at 3:09 is Aseprite btw.

I love it - the dynamic, Johnny's singing, the instrumentals... It really FEELS like a Sonic song. I also like the editing work on this BTS video because it's not over-excessively edited to a point where it gets ridiculous. Rather, it's exaggerated enough to still be funny.
