Loona's music is of course one of the reasons that so many people love them, but their lore is another huge reason why fans are so invested. The Loonaverse that they've built is huge and really explains a lot about the MVs. For example, the reason why Loona 1/3's MVs are so normal and innocent compared to the other girls is because the first 5 girls are just normal people from Earth. They're just trying to live their lives, although ViVi is an android who doesn't remember her past, so they have to teach her how to literally Love and Live again. ODD EYE CIRCLE is in the Cosmos, making them literally the three moons shown. They each have their own odd eye (Which it shows them getting in Sweet Crazy Love) and they each have a power. Choerry is a very important member since she can transport between the various different worlds. That's why you see her with girls from all 3 units (Haseul and Yeojin are in LCM and then she shows up in Yves and Go Won's MVs). The girls from YYXY are literally from Eden (Which is why Yves is pronounced as Eve and why they have apple and other fruit themes). All four girls actually make up one person, but they're each different emotions. Yves is Faith, Chuu is Love, Go Won is Hope, and Olivia Hye is Anger (Which is why she's left alone in Love4Eva, because she needs a reason to be angry). The girls of YYXY all decide to leave Eden though since they want to find out who they truly are and not only listen to what God (or the teacher in Love4Eva) tells them to do. Through all these MVs the girls are searching for each other, and now in Hi High they've found each other. Now the real journey can begin.

It's hella deep and we call it the loonaverse. The last unit for example is based on the garden of Eden (hence Yves name). All of them are very different but connect through each video. Choerry is believed to be able to travel throughout all the worlds and shit. The first few girls actually had the most amount of money spent on them. I'm talking about millions. Each of their MV's were filmed in different countries (Paris, Japan, Iceland etc). But the editing definitely improved. It also has to do with concept. I stan loona. They are my #1 group. Im glad you finally checked them out. So heres so things you missed. Each member has their own color and animal and the last 4 members also have a fruit. Yves is pronounced like Eve. As in adam ans Eve The last units story has a lot of religious and self love elements that you should check out. Basically though biting the apple symbolizes leaving the garden of eden but on purpose. The mvs have info in each videos description that explains more of their story that you should go back and read, it will clear up some things. If you want to get to know the girls better there are loonatvs on thier youtube channel that are like 20seconds to 1 mintue each in lenth that follow the girls behind the scenes. The first members didnt have as great edited videos because (im assumjng here) most of thier budget went to travel ans logistics. Those first 4 or so mvs were shoot out of the country. In plaves like france iceland japan etc. They did photoshoots and everything. As apposed to later members who shot in korea so it kind of evens out.

Every single MV provide clues and hints of how the Loonaverse comes together. That's what makes many of us Orbits so invested in them, there are theory videos everywhere. And according to their producer, he has already planned 2 years more of story ahead and this universe isn't complete anytime soon. LOONA 1/3 & Yeojin are supposed to be on earth, thus them filming at normal streets. LOONA ODD EYE CIRCLE are somewhere between the earth and the moon, thus they were able to interact with members of 1/3 in their MV while looking at the moon. Cherry the fruit bat is the interesting one here as she is able to go upright to earth while go inverted on moon. She actually gave Yves(eve) her apple while also appeared inverted in Gowon's MV(creepy). LOONA yyxy are at the moon where Eden is, where they represent Faith(Yves), Love(Chuu), Hope(GoWon) & Anger(OliviaHye). They are supposed to be one being escaping and leaving anger behind, while OEC decides to give anger a chance. On GoWon's dinner table, you might noticed there's pineapple(GoWon), apple(Yves), strawberry(Chuu) and cherry(Choerry) too. There's more theories out there but this is just a rough intro.

I think that an important aspect of the video is how all the members meet like a chain reaction... Like how that one girl was surrounded by the other three from Odd Eye Circle, then is transported to another place where she meets up with the members from her yyxy sub-unit. Earlier in the video, two girls from Loona 1/3 (the first sub-unit) high-fived, and then it cut to a shot of yyxy looking off into the distance as if they heard the members of Loona 1/3 and are signaled to meet someplace. In the Loona videos, there are a LOT of subtle details that you don't pick up even after watching them three or four times. Even as I watched this video, I noticed subtle details and references to other music videos in the songs you reacted to.

The concept of the first girls are more mundane, they unit is supposed to be from the earth. That's why they were kinda innocent and cute. The members from odd eye circle (the other three) are in space. Choerry specially is the conection between earth and middle space. That's why she meets with earth members and then with odd eye circle members. I feel like they did really good separating both units, visually and musically. You can totally see the concepts. I recommend you to get into the theories and explanations. They are endless lol but worthy

I always laugh how almost everyone loves Eclipse straight away because when I first saw it I thought it was the most boring song I've listened to 😂 Now I love Eclipse and it's in my top 5 though 🤷‍♂️ and the MV is godly! Also it's funny how he thought 1/3 had lower quality videos and music when BBC spent the most money on them and skimped out on OEC as a result 🤔 OEC was actually jealous of 1/3 because they got to travel the world and all of their b-sides got MVs.

Yves music video literally gave me chills and almost made me sob when the chorus hit bc the euro basss is just a w brick wall of PURE PLEASURE. Plus at the end idk if you missed it but Yves drops an apple from the tower and Choerry (my bias!) catches it!! Then Choerry appears as the upside down figure (her animal is the fruit bat!!) to drop said apple for Go Won in her One&Only MV! On top of that I love lonna yyxy bc of their concept. Go Won is honestly my true bias with her soft rap and uwu vocals and One&Only is GORGEOUS. Did you catch her animal---the butterfly? That's why towards the bridge of the song she was covered in all the fabric when you commented on it being "creepy" hahaha but I agree! She was metaphorically in a cocoon till Yves (/eve/) and Chu sat her down and got her to eat her Forbidden Fruit which is the pineapple--an apple with a crown, like her in the mv :) The other girls in yyxy (Yves, Chu, Olivia Hye) have fruit that are in the 'rose' family (apple, strawberry, blood plum) but Go Won's pineapple isn't. Choerry, however, technically has a fruit as well! Her cherries gave her the ability to dimension jump in Love Cherry Motion! And that's why she appears in One&Only and drops the APPLE she caught in new. Yves wanted to sneak the apple into Eden (their finishing school in love4eva), but she needed some special help.

I'm one of those who were experiencing Loona for the first time with you, Dylan. After hearing the songs i'm intrigued, but not hooked. I'll definetely check them out and hear the songs properly on my own (specially the ones from the girls of the red, blue and purple subunit) but most of the songs I didn't really like. I get that the universe is one of the interesting things about Loona, but honestly, if I'm not into their music, I won't get into the stories.
